GOAT-tier album man...every track is literally a classic
this man was a damn genius, even MBDTF was close to that level. Kim ruined this man...
I actually liked Bound 2 for a minute, but I couldn't listen to the whole album from start to finish.
I said toast mutha****a!

I was a HUGE Kanye fan in 2004. I was like 15-16 then and would annoy all my friends about this guy and to listen to the College Dropout.
Now I fukin can't stand him or any of his music.

"Yeezus" is pretty solid, actually. Anyone who takes chances and doesn't take the same formula and run it into the ground is okay in my book.

It's different and I respect the move, but musically, it's not what Kanye really is man... It's not a classic. It's not something you can listen to on repeat every day. Maybe it's just so ahead of it's time that I can't truly appreciate it, but I only fk with one track on that album, and it's not even in my rotation anymore.

Kanye use to hangout at this clothing store in my city. He was friends with the owner and they would have after hours jam sessions. This was when he was underground and coming up.
I wish I had those old flyers to the sessions to show people that he came from the underground.
Glad I knew of him before he blew up.

I consider "Yeezus" a minor experimental work, much like "heartbreak". I enjoyed it for its daring, but I definitely wouldn't compare it to "College Dropout" or "MBDTF". That's almost unfair.

I used to think T-pain and Young Zeezy were like the best. I used to work for a warehouse in high school and all the ppl there who were in their 20s were like "these young kids don't know nothin'."

It's crazy how big Kanye is now.
Whenever I think of him, I still think Kanye the producer and making beats.

This guy let fame get to his head. I hate it when these musicians call themselves geniuses, as if they're doing some earth shattering shit. Kanye's just a bitch after marrying Kim K.

He barely just married Kardashian. His demise happened years ago. Don't act like he just recently been shit. He's been shit for years now and it happens to people once they hit the mainstream because the authenticity of their work is gone, to appease to the masses.

I hate Kanye because of his personality not his music. Jay-Z is still that dude from Reasonable Doubt and keeps it real.
Kanye just goes on rants as if he's Jesus reincarnated, when in reality give me 10,000 hours to master music production and i'll come up with dope shit too. It's just music and i think 99% of musicians are overrated because a lot of people just AREN'T picking up any instruments or attempting to make music.

MBDTF and 808s are two of his best albums.
Yeezus isn't that bad, but it's basically just a ripoff of Death Grips.
CD and LR are masterpieces too.
It's all this "Trap" shit I can't fck with. There's 0 artistry in any of it.

kanye has always been gay as fukk. he was always gay, like when he got Punked by Ashton Kutcher where he just came across as a lame dude....just rap heads bought into his image/music. still the same gay as fukk Kanye.
kanye's like that smart ass 15 year old. his thoughts might be kinda clever for a rebel teenager. give him that much.
but when you look at him as an adult, which he is, it's like, damn dude, grow up, fool.

Jay-Z I think had some really sick albums for sure. I'm a New Yorker but I sometimes get sick of when he keeps bringing up stuff like NYC, Tribeca, etc. in a lot of his earlier songs

I saw him do the Yeezus album live... it was horrendous. The only good parts of the show was when he did his old stuff.

The funny thing is that Kanye is a wanna-be fashion designer and I find it funny that he tried to rebel and challenge Louis Vuitton. It's not happening when you are a beginner and you are trying to mess with LV. LV has so much power in the luxury goods sector and influence, they can essentially have Kanye black balled from the industry.
