Now the real question, what number does Love wear? I've been having him wear #6 in NBA 2K14 for almost a month.

Why does the 76ers do this trade exactly?

I still want to know the exact terms.

I thought the Cavs traded for John Lucas, Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy in order to use them as trade fillers, but I haven't heard any mention yet of them being included here. I guess they are just getting waived then.

They seem to be going for the all-time tanking record.

That's because we're trading for a big man.

I don't know, but perhaps the Cavaliers will try to snag who I think is realistic...John Henson from the Bucks. There were several ways in NBA Trade Machine that could happen.

Why would the Bucks trade Henson for a bunch of scrubs ?

I guess the Cavs could include the 1st round pick they have from the Grizzlies, but that's still not much of an offer.

what number does wiggins wear? he switched from 22 to #21 on the cavs

does he have to go back to #22 since garnetts will more than likely be retired in 2016 or 2017?

Correction: Luc Mbah a Moute to Sixers as part of three-way trade not JJ Barea. My mistake.

He'll probably take 22. This Twitter handle has 22 in it.

The numbers will be interesting.

Love will take 42 with the Cavs. Not sure why Meticode questioned otherwise.

Wiggins will be tough. He switched to 21 with the Cavs but that's probably not going to be issued by the Wolves. 22 is taken by Glenn Robinson, but he has no real claim to it so Wiggins could ask him to switch. Wiggins wore 8 for Canada, but that's taken, too.

Anthony Bennett could switch back to his high school number (24).

Thaddeus Young could go for Cunningham's 33 which he wore in high school, or he could swap his 21 to 12.

No idea what Alexey Shved will go with. 1, 4 and 23 are all taken.

Who cares about Moute.

Oh nevermind. When I googled it from my phone at work and it just listed (7) as their retired numbers which meant that they have 7 retired numbers... And not that 7 is the only one retired haha. I also forgot that the Cavs have a ridiculous amount of unwarranted retired numbers.

I could see him just flipping to take 24. Cutting it in half to 21. Taking 50 (yuck) which he wore at one point in high school.

Don't see what they got out of this except to make their draft pick better.

He doesn't have the ability, authority or stature to turn lebron in to anything. If anything, lebron will turn kyrie in to a spot up shooter.

Off the top of my head, without delving into numbers...

Philly gained more cap flexibility next summer, as Young had a longer contract, and pretty sure Shved and LRM have expiring contracts.
On top of that, Philly picked up another first.

Pretty obvious trade for a rebuilding team with a good, but not great, player.

Love will be wearing 0 for the Cavs. So sick of the number 0. It's ugly as **** and so many players are choosing it now. Shouldn't be allowed.

If anybody could wear it, it should be Love, though.

Players they can target next summer that fit their roster...

Kemba
Millsap
Gay
Aldridge
Monroe (if he takes qualifying offer)
Danny Green
Matthews
Wade
Marc Gasol
Klay
Afflalo
Ellis

Obviously the bigs don't fit as well, but that's why I listed only the really good ones.

Wiggins got 22, Bennett took 24 and Young got 33. Means Robinson likely switches to 1.

It's a great time to be a Cavs fan. Even if it doesn't lead to a title, we just had by far the best off season in franchise history. Hell one of the best in NBA history.

That said, I can't wait until next offseason, I want to see what happens with Haywood's non guaranteed contract. That has potential, along with the Grizzlies pick, to turn into something very good, preferably a C.

That really depends on how much Gilbert is willing to spend. The Cavs have to re-sign Love, Thompson and Andy next year, which will already put them over the luxury tax threshold. Using Haywood's contract to acquire a center on top of that would be really expensive.

It's not just the greatest offseason in Cavs' history, it is one of the greatest offseason any team has ever had. Also, think about this... if David Blatt is as good a coach as I think he could be, he was also added in the 2014 offseason.

This is the Cavs' 2014 offseason so far...

May 12: Head coach Mike Brown is fired. (May 12)
May 21: Cavaliers win the 2014 NBA Draft Lottery.
June 21: David Blatt hired as new head coach.
June 23: Cavs' runner-up for head coaching job, Tyrunn Lue, becomes the highest paid assistant coach in the NBA for Cleveland.
June 26: Cavs draft Andrew Wiggins. News breaks during draft that Kevin Love would sign an extension in Cleveland if LeBron James returns.
July 1: All-Star Kyrie Irving agrees to terms on a max contract extension with the Cavaliers worth $90 million over five years starting in 2015.
July 9: Cleveland trades away Jarrett Jack, Sergey Karasev and Tyler Zeller to clear enough cap space to allow the signing of an additional max contract.
July 11: LeBron James announces his return to Cleveland.
July 12: Cavaliers acquire Brendan Haywood and his $11 million expiring contract in 2015 along with Dwight Powell from Charlotte for Alonzo Gee.
July 22: Cavaliers acquire John Lucas, Malcolm Thomas and Erik Murphy from Utah for Carrick Felix, future 2nd and $1M. This gives the Cavs about $4 million in filler for potential trade.
August 5: Cavaliers officially announce signings of veteran sharp-shooters Mike Miller (2 years, $5.5 million) and James Jones ($1.4 million).
August 17: Shawn Marion agrees to veteran minimum ($1.4 million) to join the Cavaliers.
August 23: The Cavaliers acquire All-Star power forward Kevin Love from the Minnesota Timberwolves, giving up Andrew Wiggins, Anthony Bennett and a pick.

That's only so far. The Cavs still have the filler they acquired from Utah and draft picks to make additional moves. It would be a challenge for any team in NBA history to match this offseason when it is all said and done. Now, it may or may not work out perfectly, but jesus christ...
