Why is the NBA fantasy forum so dead all the time?

I've been here for years, but that forum has always been dead.

I know a lot of guys here play NBA fantasy leagues...

Why not post there?

For me its a challenge to win as many leagues as I can...

I do have 3 leagues that have asked me back. 1 of them nearly all are good enough to win the league, its super competitive.

because they have more people than ISH. these communities have been dead so long that it's like they exist on a whole 'nother site. Notice how most of the team forums are dead too.

I noticed that, but I never understood why...

More people on other sites makes sense though.

There was a time (before my time) when team forums were pretty active. That's why Jeff had mods for each one. Now everything is filtered to the NBA Forum so much that the team forums suffered. ISH doesn't have a big enough userbase to have as active as an NBA Forum as we have along with team forums. That's mostly on Jeff/Steve since registration is closed for 11 months of the year. If they wanted more people they wouldn't leave it closed that long.

I think the main reason they leave the registration closed for that long is the servers can only handle so much activity.

But seriously, how much does it cost to upgrade a server? Surely they can make money on it anyways.

I love fantasy NBA I just hardly ever post on message boards about it.

I'm the same way with fantasy football.

Because they ask the same stupid questions over and over again.

A: "Should I make this trade? X for Y and Z?"

B: "Depends, what does the rest of your roster look like?"

A: "Lists all players"

C: "Are you willing to chunk x, x, and x categories? I would be all over that!" or "Are you stupid son? That's a horrible trade. something something something about DRose being hurt."

No one wants to keep posting on these threads. Hence why it's dead.

Seems most fantasy leagues on ISH sooner or later breakdown into a finger pointing fest of accusations about alts and backroom deals... :lol
