Cot damn, what a scoring display. TMac was hitting on all cylinders in the first half, whereas Kobe torched Orlando in the 4th.
Give me these guys over Durant and Harden

Very telling comment from the Laker announcer after Kobe makes a shot...
"If there's any question on who the best player in the league is, call me. Call me collect if you want to."
That was with a prime Shaq.

Fisher and Stevenson look ridiculous.
Also, sexiest game vs sexiest player.

Because they use the last second shot % as some kind of an indicator. Look at Kobe's 4th quarter scoring in the Playoffs.
CP3 and Melo used to be on the top in terms of last second shots in Playoffs and regular season (I found this from 2011)
Player Makes Attempts FG%
Carmelo Anthony 21 44 47.7
Chris Paul 14 31 45.2
but they are career Playoff losers. It tells me that the statistic is useless.
Regular Season; a shot to tie or take the lead
Last 24 seconds
Kobe: 46 for 155 (29.7%)
LeBron: 28 for 91 (30.8%)
Last 30 seconds
Kobe (since 01): 65 for 181 (35.9%)
LeBron: 32 for 100 (32.00%)
Last 2 minutes
Kobe (since 01): 125 for 327 (38.2%)
LeBron: 84 for 213 (39.4%)
Last 5 minutes
Kobe (since 2001 season): 233 for 555 (41.9%)
LeBron (since 04 season): 173 for 399 (43.4%)
Take note that Lebron edges Kobe out slightly by % in 3 out of 4 categories, but has taken far less attempts in every single category, which leads me to believe that Kobe is by far a better clutch performer since in most of these cases he's taken at least 100 more attempts, making around the same percentage (in none of these cases are they more than 2% apart, except where Kobe edges Lebron in the last 30 seconds).

So even when you try and cherry pick stats and use your own agenda LeBron still > Kobe?

Wow, Lebron is has a 1,5% higher FG% in the last 5 min while taking 156 less shot attempts, not to mention Kobe is the better shooter at the line... And we all know Lebron takes more layups/gets easier shots than Kobe, yet the numbers are close with Kobe taking almost twice as many shots in most clutch situations (probably twice as many jumpers).
Kobe in the last 30 secs shoots almost 3,9% higher than Lebron while having taken 81 more shot attempts, it tells me Kobe is easily better.

Why do Kobe stans look down on easier shots? If you can get a layup...get a fvcking layup.

Because it obviously affects the percentages. Getting easier shots also has to do with the team around you. Kobe with Shaq got many layups and shots at the rim in crunch time, how many of those shots were from when Kobe played on horrible teams from 04-07, having to take long 2s because his other option is to pass it to Kwame, Odom, Smush, Walton?
Lebron is a physical specimen and plays a different position, the opportunities they get when shooting the ball are different as they play the game a different way and at different positions. It's much easier to stop Kobe from getting to the rim than James.
And still, Kobe makes around the same percentage of shots in crunch time (with far more attempts).

Lebron has played majority of his career in Cleveland. Stop writing bs.

So what? Lebron plays a different position and is a much better athlete than Kobe, he obviously gets more opportunities at the rim because opposing teams can't cut off the lanes for him, and even if they do, he just runs through them and finishes with contact because he's big enough not to be bothered as much by the defender and constantly get's and-ones. Prime example is the Pistons series Game 5 2007. He didn't go crazy on jump shots like he did in Boston Game 6, he just kept driving to the hoop (what he does best) and he kept finishing over anyone. It's how Lebron gets the majority of his points vs Kobe shooting more jump shots.
look at this shit, 07 Lebron has Tyshaun Prince shook, prince put hands in front of his face like a little girl, this is how scary Lebron is when driving to the hoop
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JHaSiWClteQ#t=207
You really want to tell me there's not a difference in how they score in crunch time? Lebron often gets single coverage and more space to drive to the rim because defenders know that he's a willing passer in crunch time, so they try to cut off the 3, by staying home on other players, allowing Lebron to finish over a smaller, slower defender.
It's why you don't just read boxscores and compare numbers...context. Lebron's better at getting easier shots in crunch time due to his skillset and his athletic ability, Kobe's better at making tough, contested jump shots when there's no lane to the rim, hence the percentages. It's why Michael is better than both, because he had the athletic ability + the ability to get any type of shot off.

LeBron is more athletic than Kobe wtf?? :lol :hammerhead:
Nice damage control you have there
Kobe's body control, vertical, quickness, stamina, leaping ability >>>> LeBron's 2 inches of height advantage

ATHLETIC does not mean size. Lebron is quicker, a better leaper and much stronger and is also 2 inches taller than Kobe. You're an idiot if you actually think Kobe is more athletic than Lebron.
Look at Tayshaun Prince trying to "defend" Lebron from getting to the hoop. He just stands there, frozen, with hands on his face like Lebron's about to smack him.

Ok I admit LeBron might be a bit stronger
But Kobe has a much quicker first step
Kobe also has better body control, is faster, and arguably better vert (slightly)
Put LeBron in kobe's body and he would be the undisputed GOAT stop kidding yourself here :facepalm

Does LeBron have imaginary/hidden muscles or something? Where did this myth start of LeBron being stronger than Kobe??

:banghead:
Muscle size does not equal strength, and Kobe's hands are against Lebron's body, Kobe's muscles are flexed while Lebron's are loose. Lebron in that pic easily dwarfs Kobe, now realize that the much bigger dude is also faster. Lebron's lower body strength shits on Kobe's.
