Seven months after he ruptured his left Achilles *tendon—and three weeks before he fractured his left *kneecap—Bryant* signed a $48.5 million, two-year deal. The contract, widely derided as the worst in the game, makes Bryant nearly impossible to move, even were the Lakers to try. Asked about Kobe’s value on the market, one GM answers definitively: “Zero. Look at that number. Who takes him?”

Dan Gilbert? Donnie Walsh?

But yet again, if there's gonna be that one team that would be willing to take on Kobe's contract, & it's gonna be Milwaukee. lol

He makes 30 million a year, he's old, and he hasn't played.

He has negative trade value.

Its a completely non-issue since Kobe wants to be a Laker for life and the Lakers want him to be a Laker for life.

If there was a valid relative reason to consider the option that would be one thing but theres no reason to even worry about this unlikely scenario. For better or for worse, the Lakers and Kobe have agreed to a two year marriage.
