Totally different circumstance. Shaq was clearly better than Kobe in 00-02, while LeBron & Wade were basic equals that first season together in 2011. Plus, the 2004 Finals would dispute your theory

First you had the rape case, then you had rumors of Karl Malone hitting on Kobe's wife, then Kobe injured his shoulder and re-injured it in the WCF...He just wasn't 100% physically nor mentally.
