Best sports video game out there in your opinion?

What do you guys think? I do like the NBA 2k series a lot more than the Madden series personally. I got bored of Madden very quickly. Did like College football games though longer. Have played 2k since the summer of 2012 on and of. Former roommate was a beast at the game. My record was 1 for 7 against him. We often played 90s Rockets against the 90s Bulls. He used to destroy me with Hakeem.

The only sports games I play are Madden, 2k, NCAA Football & Basketball.

I like Madden, but let's face it... it's the same shit every single year. Only difference is the team rosters.

IMO, the best sports game out there is NBA 2k14 (next gen) and soon it'll 2k15. I might 2 copies of 2k15. One for current gen and the other for obviously next gen. Why current gen? Well, the crew mode from 2k11 is back. I'm excited about that.

The EA NHL franchise, FIFA franchise, NBA 2K, and MLB The Show are the best sports franchises right now.

NHL was my favorite out of all of them but they removed modes from the next gen versions, in typical EA fashion. It'd have to be a toss up between FIFA and NBA 2K, with 2K getting the slight nod because it's my favorite sport to watch and play.

Hate how the next gen 2k got rid of association mode. It brought back leagues but doesn't let you fantasy draft.

FIFA and NHL. Not even a big fan of either sport but they are definitely the most fun. NHL has a fast-paced arcadeiness to it and FIFA is super smooth with great controls.

Although I prefer basketball over football (or soccer if you will), I'd still choose FIFA over NBA 2K anyday. It's just way more polished, and the sport itself is easier to translate to a videogame.

FIFA is almost perfect, whereas NBA 2K can really get on my nerves.

NBA 2K easily, for me. Then again, I'm biased because that's really the only game I buy every year lol. I'll play Madden but like others have said, it's the same every year. 2K at least improves gameplay and touches up the authentic signature styles of players as they go.
