I totally fell for Schved during those London Olympics.

He's an oversized PGish dude. Has some strength issues. And he's not a great shooter, although he's streaky. He's not the pure pass first PG you think of, more of a playmaking SG. His handle is really crafty. I think part of the reason he's such a good playmaker is that he's good at getting in the lane but his strength and somewhat limitted athletic skills sort of make it tougher to finish in there than you may think for a bigger guard.

Although admittedly I didn't see a ton of him last year.

Strength
-Solid defender
-Good passer and ball handler
-Quick

Weakness
-He doesn't have a good frame
-Incosistent Jumpshot

He can probably be a solid role player at best. I'm talking about 12/5 a game.

Pretty much what I'd say in terms of strengths and weaknesses. I think he could have a George Hill type impact on the right team. It seems much more likely that he'll get lost on a team without pieces around him to highlight his strengths.

Has surprisingly good handles for how lanky he is. Seems to have confidence issues and sometimes plays timid. When he's hot he's fun to watch, unfortunately I haven't seen him do much lately. Still pulling for the kid.

He's like a mini Manu. Manu just has 1 up on him in basically every facet of the game especially at being explosive.

Shved is skilled and has NBA talent though. Needs to get stronger though like previously stated above.

He has no passion for the game and has a horrendous work ethic.

I'd be surprise if he's on the team after this season. He's in his last year of a $3.2 million contract.

Not a fan of him. He's literally shooting worse than Rubio. 37% two seasons ago, 32% last season. :ohwell: He played in 63 freaking games getting almost 17 minutes per and shot 32%? Really!?

I watched every Wolves game last season so I saw a lot (too much?) of Shved...

He started poorly but seemed to improve during the middle of the season. I remember the commentators (correctly) observing that he takes too many off-balance shots and, when he sets his feet first, he is much more effective.

He can get to the basket but isn't particularly fast or athletic. He sometimes struggles to finish at the ring as a result.

He is a streaky shooter and, when he's found his rhythm, can be a potent offensive weapon, but usually doesn't get enough court time for this to happen.

Defensively, he can cause some problems and he plays the passing lanes quite well. Again, his lack of strength hurts him defensively.

I watched a lot of Wolves games last year, and I literally cringed every time Shved entered the game. He's like a taller, worse shooting version of Rubio with none of the upside.

He's terrible and will be back in Europe next year winning the Euroleague MVP.

Yeah.
I think Adleman did the entire Wolves team a disservice last year by just mailing it in. And one guy that got that the most was Shved who sat at the far end of the bench and got 0 attention. I think some or a lot of it also was, he came to town because of Kirilenko and when AK47 left it was sux to be in Minnesota

He just seems so tired and inconsistent all the time. He's a really crafty player with good handles and size, but he looks like he has confidence issues or something. I loved watching him in his rookie year, but last year he was terrible.

I so badly want him to succeed because I'm a shitty version of him myself. Exact same height, weight and position. Same strengths and weaknesses on the court. It's frightening how similar we are as ball players, except he makes millions in the NBA and I spend my spare time on ISH :oldlol:

I know huh, I have the exact same height, weight and position as Lebron James, it's frightening how similar we are.

I thought Shved looked promising as a rookie but he hasn't really improved.

This.
His body language is terrible. I can't remember one good game from him, specially last year.

Here's a good report on Schved.

Best case scenario for him is combo guard off the bench.

Appreciate the info fellas. Sounds like at best could be a solid rotational player off the bench but has room to grow. And he will be 26. Not old but not young. No high expectations on my end just curious.

To the jackass who told me to google? You really make no sense. This is a basketball forum where fans of the game come to shoot the shit. Why wouldn't I ask wolves fans, fans in general who may have watched him their thoughts? Smarten up.

Yeah I think those are good, reasonable expectations. But there is a chance he could develop into a solid 6th man. Don't get your hopes up too much but I had him in fantasy his rookie year and he showed some potential. Helped that he had Kirilenko supporting him too. If your coach gets behind him and trusts him a bit, he has a much much better chance of thriving.

Best case you give him 30 minutes a game he could put up 12/5. Or if your coach doesn't play him much he might be a 8/2 kind of guy.

Well, we know the worst scenario is that he continues his regression and becomes one of the worst players in the NBA.

I, however, don't think so. He will get PT with the 76ers, and here's an optimistic forecast for him:

He needs to go team with AK47 again to get his confidence back. Nets should welcome him with open arms
