I have always looked at Manu as a PG rather than a SG tbh

I hate the Spurs, they been killing the Suns since forever.
But Manu, I respect his game

Definitely a superb passer and playmaker. Bounce passes, cross court passes, passes in traffic, etc. Catches players when they're not expecting it. DeJuan Blair when he was with SA and Tiago Splitter have made comments like "I learned fast, when Manu is on the floor, you just better keep your hands up because he'll find you". Ginobili has started hundreds of games, but he came off the bench much of the time for a reason... to be the man while Duncan and Parker sat. Heat should have experimented with bringing Wade off the bench (oh well). In terms of SG's of his generation, the player that stands out to me as also an elite passer is T-MAC. And to think they almost won a championship together! :lol

Ginobili is a gem. Its because of players like him that takes basketball to another level

I wouldn't argue it. But Wade, T-Mac, Kobe, Iverson, and Joe Johnson were all excellent passers too. But skill for skill on both sides of the rock, Manu is one of the top 5-7 SG's of all time in my opinion. I mean after MJ, Kobe, Wade, West, and Dumars what SG's were as complete on both sides of the rock? I think Manu had better defense than Gervin, T-Mac, Iverson, Vince, Ray, Drexler, Thompson, Reggie, Pete, or The Pearl. The only difference was that Manu wasn't as durable or as dominant as guys like MJ, Kobe, Wade, West, or Dumars.

I would tend to agree. It's not just about assist numbers...

He has a rare combination of court vision, bball IQ, and creativity. He makes the simple pass AND the circus passes (some that require multiple viewings to even understand what he just did), seemingly without any effort.

Among SGs he's unmatched when it comes to laser passes and finding the perfect angle on a bounce pass.

It's scary to think that passing is just one of his many skills, too.
