Overall obama's presidency has been mixed for me. But Obamacare (the ACA) has been surprisingly successful.

I've had this point of view for years. Everyone lies to some extent. Me and a friend of mine got into slight argument about it because I said everyone is liars, even her. Apparently she didn't count white-lies or lies that hurt no one as a lie.

the panacea for dishonesty is transparency and accountability. this has been known for a very long time. but people lie and that's just a matter of fact.

and actually, in my experience and without anything to back the claim up, i bet we lie to ourselves waaaaaay more than we lie to one another. that seems kinda obvious.

the creme de la creme of liars are the guys who get busted for making up stories that win journalism awards. they can ride their fraud for years until at some point a thread comes loose and the wrong person pulls it and everything unravels. but it takes major balls (or major desperation) to attempt something like that.... and you gotta give some credit for those who pull it off haha
