So what exactly is the difference between PS4 and PS3?

I was playing PS4 yesterday at my friends house, and to be honest it looked and played exactly like the PS3. The jump from PS3 to PS4 seems so minuscule. So whats the selling point? I don't get it.

Maybe I'm getting old but PS3 and consoles in general seem to go by so fast now. I guess it's the competition between Sony, Microsoft and Nintendo.

I think PS2's prime lasted a good 6-7 years but its first 3 years there was no XBox and Nintendo didn't start using CDs until Gamecube came out.


PS 3 came out in late 2006. PS 4 came out late last year or 7 years later.
