Westbrook is the greatest point guard in the game.

Superior season can be defined in many ways

OKC will go deeper in the Playoffs
Curry will most likely have better scoring numbers as the #1 option
Westbrook will be the better rebounder and defender

Give me Curry. He's always had a chip on his shoulder because he wasn't fast enough, he wasn't big enough, and yet he's in the NBA, a top 5 point guard and the best shooter in the league currently and could go down as the best shooter ever in NBA history.

Oklahoma City could have drafted Steph Curry over James Harden and Steph Curry signed a contract for less some money than James Harden turned down from Oklahoma City.

A team of Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Ibaka and Curry would be absolutely frightening.

Curry wasn't even in consideration for that pick at the time. Plus he is the exception and not the rule to NBA type of prospects. Plus both he and Westbrook are PG's.

Westbrook is better because he's miles better at defense, rebounding, and being a leader, but a Curry/Durant duo would be SICK on offense. Their PnR game would be literally unstoppable.

Many so-called experts also questioned the selection of James Harden by Oklahoma City at the time and most we didn't anticipate that he would develop into this caliber of player.

The difference is Harden actually had elite size and length for his position. Curry at the 2 would get BULLIED defensively and on offense wouldn't get the green light to shoot like 8 threes a game like he gets to in GS.

I love Curry but there was no way OKC picking him would have made any sense. We have a player in Morrow now who is just as good of a 3pt shooter and will fit in just fine.
