I'm going to have to give an appreciation thread to these 2 gentlemen:

Peter Cetera from Chicago and Russell Hitchcock from Air Supply.
Vocally these two are 2 of my favorites. My thoughts are that because they weren't as eccentric or controversial they never get the praise for their vocals. They kept the formula simple with more easy listening pop ballads and lead relatively simple lives. Yet for me 2 of the most recognizable tones complete with power and range and have yet to be duplicated.

Chicago- Hard To Say I'm Sorry (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Yzn3ve1tl4)

I remember AZ Yet tried to cover this. While they did a good job, when the collabo with Peter Cetera came out Petey blew them away

Air Supply- Making Love Out Of Nothing At All (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nbIlHEJadnw)

Russell Hitchcock with this song may be the hardest song to replicate with both the range, pitch, and pace change. He hits octaves that compare with Mariah and hits the base with the same simplicity.

Man, time to break out the Crown Royal and Karaoke!

This sounds like something Christian Bale said right before he was going to slaughter someone in American Psycho.

He won't be underrated in a couple years ago. Quincy Jones just started working with him, so I'm sure he'll get himself out there.

Maybe not mainstream music, but he's definitely having a huge impact on the jazz world. Lots of the major jazz musicians have reached out to the kid and met him. I mean Quincy Jones said he's the future... and Quincy Jones is the guy who produced for Michael Jackson in case you didn't know.
