Who showed you how do the finger roll?

Gervin: Well, I had seen other guys finger roll... Julius, Connie Hawkins and, of course, Wilt (Chamberlain). So at first I pretty much emulated them and then was able to take the finger roll to another level with my own shot. Since I broke my wrist, I couldn't dunk as much for a while, and the finger roll took it over. I just think that was a great shot for me because hardly anyone could block it. You know, they think they got it and you just roll it over their fingertips.

I'm actually underwhelmed. MJ looks the same his whole career as he did a rookie. Basically he never upped his game throughout his career. Imagine if he had actually tried to be a better player, he would've averaged 40-45ppg a season.
