Someone in another thread posted that 40-50 players from now would be top 10 back then. I assume Harden is top 40 today.

Interesting, so only Anthony for today's players. I suppose because his scoring ability is good enough to make up for Gus Johnson's defense and rebounding.

Johnson - solid PF
Frazier - one of the greatest defensive PG and could score too.
tough one...I guess Durant as a SF..offense.
Malone - better than Howard, Howard has the defensive advantage but not many people could stop Malone.
West - great SG. Could play PG if he needed to.

What colleges do Dwight and Moses go to? Projected stats? Team success?

Just pick them based on the NBA careers they had. Question is do you think Howard, playing today, would be a better pick than Malone, even though Malone is close to top 10 all-time?

This.

Although Dr. J and KD would be close.

BTW, a prime Moses would just pound Howard into submission. Of course, Dwight would probably be on the bench in foul trouble for most of the game anyway.

Dr. J over KD. Moses over Dwight. :facepalm :facepalm :facepalm :banghead:

No players from the stone age would excel in today's league. KD is LEAGUES better than Julius.

First of all, Dr J was as athletic as Lebron is, and if you don't think so, go watch some highlights. Secondly, he could do things with the ball modern players can't do. If you don't think so, go watch some highlights. Thirdly, Erving was an excellent shot blocker for a perimiter player. If you don't think so, check out the stats. Fourthly, Dr J, like Kareem who you think couldn't start today, were all-stars in the 80s. I guess that means you think Bird and Magic would be scrubs as well. Young Hakeem, MJ and Barkley too, right?

Kareem at 39 years of age in the 1987 finals:

21.7/7.3/2.5 blocks on 51%

Dr J in his last season in 86/87 at 36:

16.8/4.4/3.2 on 48.4% with 1.3 steals and 1.6 blocks

M. Malone at 36 in 91/92 in his 18th professional season:

15.6/9.1 on 47.4%

5.2 of those 9.1 rebounds were offensive. Dwight has never had more than 4.3 offensive boards in his life.

Yet these guys would ride the pine today. :wtf:
