Nottingham Forest, Wolves, and Reading getting promoted, calling it right now.

Also I really hope Arsene signs someone if for nothing else at least for a feeling of new excitement and progress around the club.

**** Forest.

The only team in Notts is probably done for this window - just got Reece Brown from Birmingham on loan last week. Could do with more full back cover but I doubt the budget is there

City has a youtube channel and Micah is on it all the time. I see him in more episodes than on the pitch. I think the club is keeping him for his personality. If you watch that channel, all he does is prank other players but they love him though.

was a top 3 full back in the EPL in 2011-2012 but after that injury after injury he lost his place to zabaleta and never got it back.. zaba is durable as hell so he didnt get to see any EPL action the last 2 seasons.. was mediocre in the cup games as far as i know.. fast, strong, low iq.. can also play CB.. low risk high reward type of player..

dont know about the rest of the defenders but he is miles better than alonso and savic even at this point in his career

Fast and strong for a defender, not a good crosser, but a GREAT header of the ball. not very technically gifted, but uses his speed and strenght well

natural position is RB, but can do a job at CB as well.

very injury prone as well. but a funny dude and will help in any lockerroom

United and Liverpool are our main rivals for a Top 4 spot and they are both strengthening while we sit here with a million AMs but not enough ST, DM or CBs. Wenger knows this yet he isnt making any moves.

Liverpool replaced Suarez with Lambert and Balotelli immediately, Chelsea replaced Torres with Remy immediately, United are replacing a injured Van Persie with Falcao immediately.

Wenger lost RVP 3 years ago and STILL hasnt replaced him. In fact he hasnt replaced Gilberto or Vieira, and he has had 10 ****in years.

Im tired of our talented players wasting their primes because Wenger is incapable of putting a complete team together. There is always multiple pieces missing. Nothing ever changes.

Dont really know how you can say that when we all saw how poor United have looked for over a year.

A lot of those guys are just names. Blind and Rojo are playing United fans would be making fun of had they signed for Liverpool, now they are demigods.

Rooney and Van Persie havent played well in years. Falcao is a bit of a unknown at this point after his ACL injury.

Shaw is extremely overrated. Rafael is poor defensively. Jones isnt up to much.

Add the fact the team has no cohesion, and it is laughable to suggest they are Top 3 starting 11.

Micah Richards is really good every time I've seen him but his development must of stalled out the last few years of not playing.

He is a talent, but because Man City can buy whoever they want, those players always receive preference ahead of giving time to Micah to develop him.

I thought he was going to become England's best defender when he actually was getting game time. He was a physical specimen and built like a boxer.

Zabaletta is great though, so you can't say Richards is missing time playing behind an inferior player.

I have no idea what he's like now, for example maybe being benched for years killed his fire and drive.

Falcao could actually prove to be a valuable signing since it seems like RVP may be done. RVP is just way too injury prone and won't last a whole season and it will get worst as he ages.

But again United fail for buying a cluster **** of attackers and still not addressing their issue. They needed a whole new backline, a holding midfielder and possibly a right wing back although maybe they're hoping Rafael will be that guy once he returns from injury.

Mata/Rooney are going to be benched, Herrerea will be benched and possibly RVP as well.

In all honesty I am feeling more pessimistic about the start of this season as opposed to last. Who are we kidding? We're going to get wrecked by City, Chelsea, etc. We might not even get 4th this season.

United, in a manner of a few days, manage to bring in Di Maria, Falcao and Blind.

We get some squad fill ins and Alexis Sanchez, but don't address our ****ing needs. So frustrating.

If this shit leads us to losing out on CL football next season, then Arsene needs to go. I'm tired.

People were suggesting he be replaced with Martinez, but thankfully he seems to be getting exposed this season for the defensive fraud he is.

Whoever it is, it needs to be a top manager. The thing that scares me is how United fell apart after Ferguson left. Arsenal might go through the same thing with a new manager, since all they have known is Arsene Wenger for the last 20 years.

Some people think it is the owners who dont want to spend the money and that Wenger is just staying quiet and saying we dont need players to deflect the attention off them.

In the past we were pretty broke because we were building a new stadium, but now we have cleared a lot of debt, and signed some lucrative deals. So why is this bullshit still happening?

Arsenal would rather develop a bunch of 17 year olds in to stars and win with young french kids following his 'ideology'. The problem is as soon as those kids get good enough, they want to leave to teams that actually win. Wenger has effectively turned arsenal in to a farm and development team for the top clubs in Europe and England.

Campbell is not a central striker, he's a winger/inside forward, and I don't think he's better then Walcott, Cazorla, Podolski, Alexis or Oxlaide Chamberlain. You don't want Campbell as a central forward, he's too selfish and has bad link up play.

Sanogo looks good whenever I see him, and more of a natural striker then Campbell. He might be good! Give that kid a chance to succeed. Maybe Wenger is right for once.

He had Fabregas, Van Persie, Nasri, Adebayor, Walcott, Hleb, Rosicky, Song, Sagna, Clichy, Eduardo, Vela on the same team but didnt get the final pieces of the puzzle, which were decent centre backs and a decent goalkeeper. Because of that this team went trophyless and was disbanded.

It has taken him a few years but he is back to a position where he has Ramsey, Ozil, Sanchez, Walcott, Cazorla, Wilshere, Gibbs, Campbell, Rosicky, Oxlade-Chamberlain, Giroud, Koscielny etc., on the same team, and yet again there are holes in the squad he refuses to strengthen. Its actually shockingly unbelievable how one man can make the same mistakes time after time.

A top CF, top DM and top CB and suddenly this is one of the best teams in Europe. But it seems Wenger is happy to go close, but never quite make it. It is extremely frustrating.

Im not saying Sanogo wont be a good player. Wenger is talented at developing players, Sanogo might be very good one day. But the fact is this team is full of players who need to, and can, win now provided Wenger gets them the right final pieces for the squad.

He should let Sanogo get experience on loan, not experiment with him in a season where nobody is even guaranteed a top 4 spot.

He wants to win but only if it's winning on his terms, in the style he wants to win. The man is an ideologist. It is a strength some times but for the past decade it has been holding him back. Especially recently when his tactics grow increasingly outdated and he still refuses to change them to adapt to the opposition.

Arsenals record vs top teams last year should have sprung him in to action. 6-0 vs Chelsea, 5-1 vs Liverpool, christ! Still he's just doing the same old shit, no changes. Sad.

Milan sold Cristante (one of their most promising youngsters) to Benfica for 6 million :facepalm At this point I definitely believe they are taking all the money they can before selling out the club

Keep getting them checks :oldlol:

To be honest, if this does happen, Welbeck isnt that bad. He is better than Sanogo for sure. He is also pretty mobile with good link up play. I approve of this signing.

What I dont understand is United strengthening a team they are in direct competition with. Apparently Welbeck said no to Spurs and that he only wanted Arsenal, but it is still very suprising United are allowing this.

Welbeck is not a bad finisher, just inconsistent. I posted weeks ago before we were even linked with him that we should go for him because he is capable of a lot more than he has the opportunity to show at United. They were holding him back like Chelsea and City held back Sturridge.

He is fast, has good link up play and is experienced in the Premier League. He is not a bad choice at all.

I wonder though if it is just a loan of a permanent sale. A loan would suck, but Wenger has his back against the wall so its better than nothing.

Dawg he's just like Giroud, he can do everything well EXCEPT score goals which is the one thing a striker needs to be good at. He is not a natural goalscorer and lacks composure.

Welbeck is not a good player mentally in big games either a trait he shares with many Arsenal players. Bad bad signing. They need a badass leader type. Not a young striker who gets scared every time he's in scoring positions.

How has Wenger left it until deadline day to sign players? Obviously he got Sanchez early but we needed a CB BEFORE we sold Vermaelen. We have Kos, Per and CC as our CBs. I just don't understand him thinking going into a season with 3 CBs is ok

His thinking is clearly that we have 3 CBs with Monreal able to cover as 4th CB. Flamini can also play LB to cover for Gibbs if Monreal has to cover CB. Arteta, Flamini and Chambers cover DM.

Its extremely risky to have players covering 3 positions each to cover for our lack of squad depth. We can only hope we dont have too many defensive injuries before January. But then again this is Wenger. Who know if he will buy anyone in January either?

Monreal? I dont even want him at full back, let alone centre half. Arteta gets exposed as a DM because he's small and slow. Our only physical midfielders are Flamini and Diaby, one of whom is also small and the other is constantly injured. We needed Carvalho for strength and height in midfield.

As for 4-1-4-1, its like he had Arsenal on FIFA set to 4-2-3-1, changed formation and forgot to move players around. Wilshere and Ramsey with Arteta behind doesn't work because of Arteta's aforementioned problems and Wilshere's size/ poor defensive skill. If we had signed Carvalho, he could've taken Arteta's spot with Ozil replacing Jack, with Santi/Ox/Sanchez wide and Giroud/Sanchez up top
