and replaced KD, would they be considered a Championship or bust team? I think most of us will agree that they would be. This begs the question, why aren't they considered Championship or bust already? They do have the league MVP don't they, as well as another top 5 player?
Don't delete this thread mods. It is NOT a troll thread, and serious responses only would be greatly appreciated.

Even with Kevin Durant the Thunder are considered a championship or bust team. They've been one of the best NBA teams for the past 3 seasons and have 2 really good players in Westbrook and Durant. Replace KD with LeBron and they'd still be considered that.

Can you imagine Bran losing every season with this thunder team like Durant does? :lol

We would all criticize him for it, but Duref keeps getting passes :facepalm

Remember when Wade was alpha in the 2011 Finals? What makes you think bran wouldn't shrink and disappear when Westbrook was taking over this playoffs? Too easy. These branlusionals are something else.

Lebron has a garbage off ball game. He cant coexist with a player like Westbrook

:oldlol: Hate Kevin Durant all you want. He's still a top 2 player in the league.

Are they though? I ask this because whenever they don't win a Championship their best player never seems to receive any criticism from the media, at least not on the same level that the best players of other Championship of bust teams do. I remember Durant taking some heat in his local newspaper after struggling against Tony Allen in round 1, and apparently his feelings were so hurt that the paper had to apologize. :wtf: I have never heard of anything like that ever happening.

They are a win now team already who have suffered injuries in the post season. Plus they are younger and have more time to stick together. They've probably worn out peoples patience if they don't win this year though.

Lebron bought all that on himself by being so arrogant to the media. If Durant comes out and says it's going to be easy and acts like a fool he would be harshly criticized too.

Lebron played off ball plenty in the Heatles first season together, and was still very effective overall. One bad Finals series doesn't really change that.

Would lose in the finals and bran fans would blame goatbrook for being batman.

Were you watching ESPN after the Thunder lose to the Spurs in the playoffs? Durant and Westbrook were recieivng a lot of criticism. Especially on social media like Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, etc. Journalists, and sports talk show hosts like Stephen A. Smith and Skip Bayless were disappointed. I think before the 2013-14 season kicked off, Stephen A said one of his "championship or bust" teams were the OKC Thunder.

This is a good point. However, Lebron was getting hammered for not winning even before "The Decision" took place. His ECF defeat at the hands of the Orlando Magic is a good example in which he faced a large amount of criticism for not beating a team he was favored to beat. Durant has never faced anything close to that level of criticism, despite being on a team talented enough to win it all since 2011. :confusedshrug:

maybe if they dont have a bran type of player who made the team worse then they are a championship or bust.

All star players get criticized for a day or so after they get eliminated, even guys like Harden. Not saying that cause your a Rockets fan btw :lol , Harden's a great player but clearly not on KD or Lebron's level.
Most of the "top tier stars" face heavy criticism for weeks after not winning it all. Even NFL stars like Peyton Manning were heavily criticized for coming up short, even in this past superbowl in which his TEAM was obviously completely outmatched. It just makes no sense to me that Durant isn't held to the same standard as other "top tier" stars in sports.

If you are overrated, you get criticized. Like wilt who only won 1 ring as the man while having 4 mvps. If you have more MVPs than rings then you clearly are overrated. Luckily im smart enough to recognize these type of players

Durant now falls into this category, seeings as he has 1 MVP and no rings. Yet he is not criticized. :confusedshrug:
Thanks for helping prove my point, although I know what wasn't your intent. :lol
