Neither. Just brush and floss every night.

I'm eating and drinking coffee throughout the morning.

What would be the point in brushing and then eating? sort of defeats the purpose

if you brush before goind to bed (as you should and any competent dentist will tell you) there is absolutely no need to brush before breakfast :confusedshrug:

get up - breakfast+coffee - brush teeth - leave house.

Also, if you're too lazy to brush twice a day, your teeth will thank you if you brush before going to bed. Unless you want particles from everything you consumed during the day to linger in your mouth for 8 hours while sleeping.

If you eat and then brush without waiting 30-60 minutes, you're damaging your teeth. Especially if you consume carbonated drinks, juice and stuff like that.

Anyone drink OJ after brushing their teeth?? Yeahhhh not the best taste in the world.

It's eat first, then brush for me. Any type of mouthwash or toothpaste will ruin the taste of the food if you eat after cleaning your mouth.

I wash my mouth first, not brush it. I eat breakfast. I brush my teeth and wash my mouth after that.

Seems like a lot of people here don't know the purpose of brushing your teeth.

The reason you brush your teeth is to get rid of food particles, not bacteria.

If you kill all the bacteria in your mouth, your mouth is full of the same bacteria 10 minutes later.

The purpose of cleaning your teeth is getting the food off your teeth because the back terai that is always in your mouth eats those food particles and converts it to lactic acid. Lactic acid is was eats through your teeth and causes cavities.

If you brush your teeth and then eat, it's the same as if you didn't brush your teeth at all. When you eat, your mouth fills up with the bacteria from your saliva and your mouth is now full of food particles and the bacteria that convert it to lactic acid. Especially from things like tea or coffee that have sugar.

Eat your food. Rinse your mouth with water. Wait 10 minutes. Rinse again. Brush your teeth.

I'm not a morning person either, but I can't do what you do anymore. I end up being groggy and in a bad mood at work. I try to give myself about 45 minute before I have to leave to get fully awake and at least something small in my stomach.

I used to shower in the morning, but I don't anymore.

If you have anything acidic (like orange juice) you should brush before. Brushing after having acidic food/drank wears away the protective enamel and is bad for you long-term.

I just have a banana and black coffee so I usually eat first, then brush 20 minutes later.

Brushing at night is the most important though.

I wake up even earlier for work now. I have to be at work at 4AM every day. I used to hate it, now I love it. Having the whole day to myself being done at 12:30PM.

It really doesn't matter. There are ingredients in toothpastes like fluoride that can be beneficial but it's the bristles of the brush that actually clean the plaque off your teeth.

Also, don't neglect flossing.

Well, the first thing I do when I hop out of the bed is turn my swag on.

Then I look in the mirror and say "what's up?"
What's up I like your hair you fancy fellow.

I use an all natural toothpaste that has Neem and pomegranate. Is that OK?
