Anyone else has gotten into The Knick? TV series on Cinemax, directed by Steve Soderbergh starring Clive Owen, pretty good so far, check it out.

It's f#cking awesome. I've thoroughly enjoyed each episode more than the last. Soderbergh plus Clive Owen? No brainer.

I also find turn of the 20th Century stuff fascinating. It's so strange to think electricity was such a privilege in those days. Quality sanitation and other things we now take for granted were just almost completely ignored.

And, in the grand scheme of things, it has been a mere blink of the eye. How far we've come...

I know, we're fortunate to be living now. Back then, even something as routine today and very safe as giving birth, it was literally life and death, it was really risky and mothers and babies died often.
