Retired seven-time All-Star Tracy McGrady worked out with Los Angeles Lakers star Kobe Bryant late this summer in a Southern California gymnasium, testing the preparedness of his body for a possible NBA comeback attempt.
"Yes, I was working out with K.B. to get in shape and see how my body feels," McGrady told Yahoo Sports in an email Tuesday night.
Bryant and McGrady, 35, worked out three days a week for a period of time in August, several sources, including McGrady, told Yahoo.
At least two NBA teams were contacted over the summer about their potential interest in McGrady, but none registered a desire to further explore the possibility, league executives told Yahoo Sports.

He hasn't returned. He just is now acknowledged as a free agent.
No team would sign him over the vet minimum. None.

Might average 12-13 points for the 76ers. Look at Evan Turner. Was going to say Bucks but Jabari.

What the hell? How do you expect Tmac to average 13 points for any team? Are you crazy man? He played for the hawks and his best game was 16 points and he got the PT to produce.
no pun intended

Why? Kobe was pretty damn good in 2013. The year off was good for him. He'll still be good in '15.

Big difference between a 34 year old and a 36 year old with 2 major injuries
Look at Wade at 29 compared to 31, and Wade didnt even have any major injuries during that time

Hope a team picks him up! Sounds like KB talking him into it..Which I thinknid good, if Tmac feels he has some gas in the tank... he cant wall away.
Wish he won a chip on 2013 :(
"We could taste the champagne'
I think his chances are slim unless he takes lowest offered.

When Kobe retires you won't know what to do with yourself.
