Music honestly sounds the same today as it did in the early 00's. I think the creativity of artists have fallen off big time. Compare other decades to each other and hear the HUGE differences in sounds between them.

Late 90's/Early 2000's. That was about the peak of alternative music scenes. After that the music just repeats itself over and over.

HIP HOP 2000s hands down. Today's rap music is about autotune, meaningless lyrics and bunch of fake a$$ nig@@:facepalm

Naw. The peak was the late 80s. It died down for a while with grunge, then England came on strong with Oasis, Radiohead and Blur in the mid 90s, then out of nowhere Nebraska and New York exploded just before Y2K. And then there was silence......
