View Full Version : What outcome do you fear most this season for your team/players?

Obviously for my team it would be a Rose injury or failing to get past a Lebron led team in the playoffs.

Also McDermott/Mirotic failing to translate their game to NBA level.

Re-signing Rudy Gay long term at any point

I fear that the competition is too weak and the Cavs win too easily :(

Defensive ambition sucks. Chemistry is awful. Team blows up and we trade Waiters, Irving and/or any of our remaining young talent. Early playoff exit and Bron/Love both leave.

But that's absolute worst case possible.

No offense, but Kings haven't really had much of a plan for a very long time.

Until they change their management? I can see them making stupid decisions like this and taking whatever scraps are out on the market.

I root for small market/struggling teams. I want to see good happen.

no team has won with a score first pg. So might be better to not expect from rose

They actually did change management this past season, the new management traded for Williams/Gay and sign Darren Collison.

We know the pain.

Being handcuffed by one player like that is frustrating.

That is the concern for me.

None of those players are pieces to a championship team. They are the players you go after if you can't get anything else at that value.

Replacing Thomas with Collison wasn't bad though.

You guys need to get someone like Rondo IMO. Other stars in the league will take your team more seriously if you get someone like him, which will in turn attract other big free agents.

Cavs dont further upgrade their roster and LeBron is left with these guys to try and win a ring

Lin playing any substantial minutes, Boozer taking playing time from Randle, and not making a huge acquisition (preferably a young two-way talent).

Pretty much, just health in general. Also the chance that Kerr bombs, and the team just plays unmotivated basketball and misses the playoffs.

I just want the Rockets to have a healthy season, make the playoffs, and have a very successful run.

Also, I really hope we don't keep McHale for long term.

Dragic commitment to the slovenian team putting too much wear on him
Archie Goodwin not getting enough minutes to develop.
Suns fail to make POs, fail to get high picks.
Alex Len bothered by constant injury

Losing a lot of games and giving the Suns a high draft pick would be the biggest fear, obviously that means Kobe would be injured too, which would be a damn shame.

But I wouldn't say "fear", it's just the worst case scenario for the Lakers.

What is 'substantial' minutes? 25? 30? 33?

I'd like to see if bulls would throw a trade offer for green or Goodwin.

Won't happen though.

I'd prefer <30, probably. I'd rather him get time than Nick Young or someone else, but considering that Kobe is near a sieve at this point, we need a strong defender on the perimeter (possibly two).

To be fair, I could be wrong about Lin's defense.

Horford goes down early in the season again, we fight the whole way down to the wire for the 8 seed but miss out by a game, then reward Millsap's leadership by giving him a big fat extension.

I don't know what our plan is going forward tbh, but I don't want to lock up anybody else, (as much as I do love Millsap) unless it's somebody with star potential. Keep the flexibility.

Lebron leads the inexperienced Cavs to the Finals, and then they lose to the stacked Spurs or Thunder. Then us Bron fans have to hear 2/6 all summer.
I would rather Lebron lose in the 2nd round.

He isn't a lockdown defender, but I think you'll be pleasantly surprised this season.
