So Libyans have been banned from taking any flight training or nuclear science training in the U.S. since 1983. Since Libya has been a hot bed of terrorism since forever. So this past month The President lifted this ban. Just this past month when all of this shit is going on in the Middle East he decides to lift this ban..:facepalm ..doesn't make a whole lot of sense. Now there are airliners missing from the Libyan Airport. WTF. These terrorist will strike somewhere with these planes. Either crashing them or landing somewhere and attacking.
There are many sources to this story out there...not hard to find. But what is the President thinking. Is he actually helping these bastards.

It doesn't feel right for an entire group of people to not be allowed get ahead and have work opportunities. 31 years ago this ban was put in place, if Libyans are such a threat, I rather have their nuclear scientist get monitored over here than for them to get their training elsewhere.
I mean, if we're in so much danger because of the state of affairs in Libya 31 years ago, and lifting this ban is going to cause chaos in the United States, then why not ban people from dozens of other countries that are actually more of a threat in the United States.
Gaddafi is dead, sanctions against Lybia from European countries and the United States have been lifted. This is one of them. You just want to scream and rave, and be outraged. Get over it.
You're probably confusing Libya with Syria.

Can you find any sources reputable new sources? This missing airliner story has been making the rounds on right wing blogs, but I don't see any other news organizations picking it up. Can you find any source that is not referring to the Washington Beacon?
Lifting the ban on training has been discussed since last year and some folks say it's a way to help strengthen the Libyan military who is pro-US.

Also since 9/11 there is a system in place to screen foreign candidates for flight training.

Watch what you're saying , I'm Libyan and I can tell you for a fact the chance of a Libyan committing a terrorist attack on USA is the same chance an American or Russian or Chinese etc would. Yes we have violence in our country but that doesn't make them threats to the USA anymore than the Americans in USA are.
