I've been traveling a lot lately, Orbitz and Priceline can get you better rates than calling the hotel and airline yourself can.

I don't know exactly how it works...but I do know that it does work.

Prices don't vary much for most airline tickets nowadays. Since you're getting tix so late I would expect to pay alot.
