You can tell he's a very intelligent guy. He breaks down the game into its simplest component parts, the way Russell and Bird, for example, did.
I like his point about simplicity and the need to be predictable. Move, countermove. It's all about signaling. You need to signal clear intentions to the defense (move) so you can surprise them if they adapt (countermove).
I know from a personal standpoint I'm never better than when I go back to the basics: in the post, my go to fadeaway and hook, in the perimeter, triple threat with a one dribble limit. Keeping it simple allows you to slow down and think the game, catching the defender off guard with old man fakes.

Wades pump fake was always predictable, but god damn it works

Kobe said many times before that any year that he's not competing for a championship is a "wasted year" yet now that he's no longer on a stacked team, he conveniently says that "championships dont drive me anymore"
Who's Honestly Buying this crap?

He had an Achilles rupture and a knee fracture in his 17-18th seasons..can you seriously not grasp why his expectations might change with circumstances? If he had went out there and said "championship or bust" you would've been the first one to spam the rolling laugh smilies and call him delusional.

Dude, lets not act like Kobe hasnt said crazy stuff before
Before the previous season started he said he was "the best in the league" so its not abnormal for Kobe to say stupid stuff
And second of all, the way Kobe said "championships dont drive him" heavily suggests thats always been his mentality instead of just now, currently. He did not explicitly say "Since i'm injured and my team sucks, I no longer require rings". He's making it sound that championships never were his primary goal. This would be a huge contradiction from his comments of "championship or a wasted year of my life"
