Other than being brought to life 200 years later, what would be the most amazing/shocking/disturbing thing(s) about our present time to him/her?

I'll go with either:
We have left the Earth numerous times and even landed on the moon several times
or
There's a black, albeit half-white, president in the United States.

Well if the time traveler was black and was a slave in 1814 hed probably go into a locker room full of multi million dollar athletes getting massages and huge buffet tables and be like "oh yeah, i see what they mean about how sports is like slavery and theres a plantation mentality and all that. This is pretty much just like what I went through."

They'd probably wonder what the hell basketball is. And football.

"You mean your peasants today can OWN their own houses?"
"You can travel from here all the way to the other side of the world in less than 3 days??"

They'd probably think all movies are documentaries. "So the Earth was attacked by space creatures? And you all watch this on your television box and eat popcorn like it's no big deal?! And wtf is popcorn?"

I firmly believe that it would be too much to handle and the person would committ suicide.

Cars, phones, tv, all that sh1t would freak them out

The concept of "documentaries" and "television" would be completely foreign to him. Think about it...the first photo was taken in 1826, so this guy wouldn't even understand the concept of capturing pictures, since all he would know would be paintings and sketches. And then there's the whole concept of capturing sound and playing it back.

The guy would probably end up committing suicide due to not being able to handle all the changes that happened. How the fvck do you explain even a car to this fool? :biggums:

I'd ease him into the modern age--a few months with the Amish, followed by a move to rural Kentucky. He'll probably end up disappointed thinking how little has changed.

Depends what age you bring back that person from 1814, if it's a baby or a child, I imagine he/she would adjust pretty quickly. If it's a full blown adult used to the ways of the 19 century, mind fully blown but he/she would eventually adjust too. Humans adapt to their sorroundings, one of the reasons we've prevailed and pretty much own the world.

You have technology that is beyond what people thought as magic in my time and you mostly use it to send each other pictures of your genitals?

Wait is that Jenifer Lawrence? Let me see that one.
