What is your all time favorite video game?

For me, counter strike. Mostly because I've played it for a long time (since 2004-2005 and have made a lot of friends via steam). I was an outcast for most of middle school and this was how I spent my weekends. The only reason I still play is to help old steam friends run their servers by occasionally scoping out for hackers.

I was a rusher so I usually had a 1.2-1.3 kdr but like 50-70 kills in game modes like demolition (when I partied up, usually 80+)

This is always a tough question, because unlike movies, video games are less likely to stand the test of time.

Goldeneye stands out because it was the first FPS that I fell in love with, which means I got a lot of play out of it. But there is no denying that many of the more modern FPS are better and I'd rather play them at this point in my life. My current favorite game is Titanfall, which I have been playing consistently for about half a year now.

Socom 2. Socom had a cult like ps2 online following. Dont know if many / any here played it

The first two were leaps and bounds ahead of any online game on console when they came out. Then the studio sold out and tried to go mass appeal and completely ruined the steep learning curve and unique style by making a steaming pile of generic shit. Series folded after that. Probably just as well as it was a complete time vacuum.

De_Dust2 is too common. Cs_office IMO is fun on deathmatch. I don't really like it otherwise. It feels very T sided. I love de_inferno. The server I help run is mostly dedust2/inferno. I like denuke. If you got great aim and have a headset, that map is a godsend. So many sneaky spots to camp.

Anytime this question comes up, on whatever message board I am on, this is the first and only thought I have.

The best online community ever, the reason why online console gaming is as huge as it is and probably the best or second best FPS of all time.

I cannot recall the number of hours I put into that game, but I still play online games (COD/Halo3/4/ and soon MCC) with a few of the guys I met online playing back then.

For retro consoles I would choose Deion Sanders Prime Time Football for sega (I played WAY too much of this in elementary school and junior high) and Super Mario 3 for the Nintendo.

I don't play video games anymore, but if I do ever get into them again, I'm 100% confident I'll start up GTA IV again at some point.
It's a game I've played and completed 5+ times. Since 2008, I think I've played it all the way through at least once a year every year until 2014. The story just never gets old to me, and I just loved the realism of the physics.
You get slightly bumped by a car? Niko staggers.
You fight someone? When you win, they're knocked out (not dead like in GTA V).
I loved driving cars through the city. There were turns everywhere, so you could drift around.
Interacting with friends + dates was a cool feature, though I found it frustrating at times because they constantly called.
The only complaint I really have (had) for it was the lack of customization. I don't care about making Niko fat, skinny or buff, but I would've enjoyed customizing the cars.

I sometimes play it with friends before going out as a drinking game. Take a shot for every win. We used to play the same game in HS except we would just take a shot in between every game and crush a bunch of liqour. Really ****ing stupid idea but it was fun at the time.

I'll probably have the fondest memories of Mass Effect as far as gameplay goes. I don't think I've ever been as emotionally invested in a game as I was for that series.

I was a sega kid too, but now they are horrible now and probably worse than even EA. They don't bring over any of the good games that get made in japan over here anymore...just the garbage.
