View Full Version : I downloaded google chrome a few days ago and I got a lot of adware...

It took me awhile to uninstall all of it. I googled each one and none were viruses, just annoying adware. It got really bad especially when I downloaded java... I pressed next way too quickly and said yes to about 3-4 other programs..

Has this ever happen to you? Should I be worried? I deleted all the adware over the past few nights and have restarted my computer a few times.

Do a System Restore to a time before you downloaded Google Chrome.

Yeah, I was thinking of doing this. Will probably do it tomorrow.

Chrome does not prompt you to download anything other than the browser. Always check the URL you are downloading things from. Sounds like you got it from a non-official source.
