Is there anything about his game that wouldn't translate? Would he be better or worse than Love?

Pettit was one of the first if not the first to weight train. He'd do fine today.

But do you know if he had good post moves? Did he have a mid range shot?

He's not Bob Pettit if he grows up today though, a time traveled version say in his early 20's would likely adapt well though I believe. Second to none work ethic and drive and the appropriate physical tools and fundamental skill set to make some noise.

He bout 6'9" , barely over 200 lbs , that would be a hard transition IF u keep him at PF. Those numbers are small forward type digits unless he adds good 40-45 lbs to bang down low for 82 games ..

If Kevin Love is a 26-12 player in today's NBA, I just can't help but believe that Pettit, and Jerry Lucas, would be among the best players of this era, as well.

Nice video. He was tenacious, skilled, and had a great understanding of the game. He'd definitely be one of the best PF's in the league today.

Pettit was 245 in his day, says he'd play at 260 today. He was 6-8 and 1/4 without shoes. That's a half inch taller than Kevin Love. He's an ideal size power forward.
