lets look at the last 16 years and who represented the finals from the west ( I.E. the NBA champs already crowned cause the East SUCKS D*CK )
1999 - Duncan
2000 - Kobe
2001 - Kobe
2002 - Kobe
2003 - Duncan
2004 - Kobe
2005 - Duncan
2006 - Dirk
2007 - Duncan
2008 - Kobe
2009 - Kobe
2010 - Kobe
2011 - Dirk
2012 - Durant
2013 - Duncan
2014 - Duncan
now obviously there were some of the worst screw jobs that gave the east a BULLSH*T title. like in 2007 and 2013
so overall the west has a legit 13 of the last 16 titles
now... how many names are there?
4
now lets look at who's won league MVP since 1999
and i'l highlight the guys who won a title that season
1999 - Malone
2000 - Shaq
2001 - Iverson
2002 - Duncan
2003 - Duncan
2004 - Garnett
2005 - Nash
2006 - Nash
2007 - Dirk
2008 - Kobe
2009 - Lebron
2010 - Lebron
2011 - Rose
2012 - Lebron
2013 - Lebron
2014 - Durant
notice anything wrong?
but forget the point that mvp's are almost never correct
whats clear is that its much much muuuuuuuuuuuuuch more rare to be the best..... than be the MVP
anyone can win mvp
but theres only 2 guys who have respresented the finals nearly every year since 1999
the mvps of the last 15 years are kobe and duncan. but together they only have 3 mvps
figure that one out
all i know is... being the best of the best is allot more rare than being MVP

fact is its harder to make the finals/win a title than be named mvp of the league
kobe and duncan have 10 of the last 16 titles
theyve been in 13 of the last 16 finals
but theres been like 11 or 12 different mvps the last 16 years

Theres a difference between being the Most Valuable Player in the league, and being on the best team in the league
Everybody knows that the MVP Award is first and foremost an media award and after that it's an regular season award which has absolutely nothing to do with the playoffs.
What's the news here?

kobe/shaq/duncan should all have 4-5 mvps each
its pathetic that all 3 guys combined have as many mvps as lebron
kobe 5 rings, 7 finals, 1 mvp
duncan 5 rings, 6 finals 2 mvps
shaq 4 rings, 6 finals 1 mvp
combined - 14 rings, 19 finals, 4 mvps
lebron 1.5 rings, 4.5 finals, 4 mvps
:facepalm

I would have him # 10 but the 3 fmvp bump him up to #8

Fisher, Kerr, Harper, Cooper and Horry all have 5+ rings, does that mean they are as good as Duncan and Kobe ?

3 fmvp bump him up to #8
how is that possible. based on your criteria shaq would be 10th
since you don't value rings. but only mvps/finals mvps combined ( and season mvps being worth more
jordan = 6 and 5
kareem = 6 and 2
magic = 3 and 3
lebron 4 and 2
bird = 3 and 2
wilt = 4 and 1
russell = 5 and 0
duncan = 2 and 3
moses = 3 and 1
shaq = 1 and 3
notice anything wrong with your formula?
there isnt a single educated mind on planet earth that has moses over shaq/kobe/oscar/hakeem etc...
just your criteria

I also factor in peak play and career stats. Therefore Kobe is left in the dust

no you don't. you already set your criteria. sorry bud
if you factor in other things. then surely you must factor in
total rings
all nba 1st teams
all defensive 1st teams
scoring records
career totals
nba records
or do you only consider what fits your agenda
:lol f*ckin bum.. you don't stand a chance

Peak play, stats, FMVP + MVP = all time great
MJ, LeBron, Kareem are top 3
Shaq is top 5

Please respond to my post on the other thread explaining how your reasoning allows Kobe to be above 9th on an all time list. Thank you
i did
all i ever said was that everyone in the top 10 has atleast 1 mvp and 2 fmvps ( asside from russell and wilt ofcourse cause they didnt have the fmvps for most of their careers )
so it cant just be a coincidence. i think thats the bar
but it seems everyone ranks guys differently INSIDE the top 10... and dont really look at just mvps or just rings or just fmvps
like kareem has 6 rings but only 2 fmvps.. yet hes ranked as GOAT by some
so naturally i'd assume 2 fmvps is enough. and after that its just about ring count
jesus... stop stalking me weirdo... stick to one thread. quit spamming
i just used ring count as an example... my top 10 changes all the time depending on how i feel that day honestly

2012= 66 games
