For me it HAS to be the Dr. J! I think Doc was SO FAR ahead of his time and was THE GUY to build a league around. They say Magic and Bird saved the L and MJ truly took the game global in terms of visibility and marketing. But I think Doc was THE GUY to provide the actual vision. Not at all, I just he sounds extremely fake when he's on social media or when he's doing interviews and all that. I also don't think he knows what type of persona he should have in public, because he seems to switch from being 'humble' (fake as hell MVP speech) to then trying to be badass or edgy with some of the pics or quotes he puts up. I dunno I just feel there's something off about the dude, like he has to hide the type of person who he really is from the world.

I love the dude's game, except for the phantom fouls that called when a defender goes near him as well. He's a killer. Will probably end up with the most points in history too, if he doesn't try and start gunning for triple doubles most nights like he kinda was the past season.

Sounds crazy, but a lot of us here in Detroit weren't real keen on him either. He's not a Detroit kind of guy, always bigger and better in the National Medias eyes than in the eyes of those of us that watched him every game. He was a great player, but he didn't make anyone else better. He had mediocre teammates here so maybe that's unfair, but that was always the perception.

Really? And this is coming from a Pistons fan? Pretty certain that Grant's style of play is literally the opposite of what you said. He was taking those Detroit teams to the playoffs with hardly any support from his teammates outside of Houston and Stackhouse which was on separate years.
