Klay is better on this team cuz hes a spot up shooter and a better defender.
He can play off ball, while Harden needs the ball to be effective and we have neough gaurds for that
but....
Harden > Klay

Klay is actually a pretty decent defender.

For every point net gain on offense Harden provides over Klay, he gives up 2 more on defense so for the purpose of winning a basketball game, aka your team score more points than your opponent.
Yes Klay Thompson > James Harden.

Yeah he is, i thought he was great last year gaurding alot of PG's cuz of Curry liability on defense.

Best SG in the NBA now that Kobe and Wade are on the decline.

Klay is an unconscious shooter. He's going to get a few off the dribble moves perfected and he could be an efficient 25ppg 1st option IMO.

It can be argued that Warriors have Top 5 players at each position.
Curry
Klay
Iggy
Lee
Bogut

I thoroughly hate that Harden doesn't consistently play defense, but he's still a better overall player than Klay imo.

He's definitely better on team USA.
We're already starting 2 pgs, so we don't need Harden's pg skills. We don't need someone who can iso and breakdown the defense either. We need someone who can play defense, shoot, and make good decisions. Klay is better in those areas.

Don't think there's much argument for Iggy, Lee, or Bogut, but it is a stacked lineup.

Going into next season I still think DeRozan, Harden, and maybe Ellis are better than Klay right now.

Harden's better at being "the man." He's just better than Klay in creating for himself and others.
Klay is a better defender and complimentary player, though.

Just saying, if you want to get somewhere close to a championship, Klay is more valuable for a winning team. Not that Klay's a superior player of course, but as a key piece to a championship team he is better than Harden is as a star player.

Bogut is definitely a Top 5 center when healthy. He is in that Noah/Gasol category, great defenders that can also pass.
PG is out for the season, Iggy is a former all-star and a poor man's Lebron. He can do it all, just not as dominantly. Only Melo, Lebron, Durant are clearly better. Maybe Kawhi. SF position is wide open, you can argue Rudy Gay/Parsons/Iggy as 5th best for next season.
Lee has tough competition, but he is one of the few PFs that can get 20/10, I remember for a long stretch he was the only PFs with those numbers eithe rin 2013 or 2014. He can be Top 5 if he steps up and guys like Dirk, Z-Bo decline. Probably won't happen though.

This.
Just look even harden tried on defense he still looks bad, let's face it he s very strong and heavy, he use that advantage on drives and he's got a nice 3 pt shot. but he is not quick or agile maybe even clumsy when on defense, and just like amare, dude seems never learn defense before in his life, bite on every pump fake, stone dead feet, mentally unaware, gamble for steal too much, play ground reach around D.
Worst of all he just seems to be a lazy player. Without the ball in his hand he just zone out. According to NBA official site Harden is one of the top player in least court distance covered per game. The other top candidates all centers. Who doesn't run if there s a fast break happens. He always falls back when switch to defense hope opp. shot quick and his teammates grab a rebound so he can get a cherry pick free bucket.
His body language and style of play is cringe worthy to watch at times on court. On Jalen and Jacoby podcast, Jacoby said it best, Dude play the same way in Drew league, NBA or Fiba, drive into people to get foul calls and hoist 3 pters. He is just lucky that style fill in a nitch in today's nba and ref buy into that BS. maybe not in the playeoff.

Honestly only Curry and Klay are top 5, probably Iggy at 5 or 6:
Bron/Melo/Durant/PG/Kawhi or Iggy
Avi Lee isn't close to a top 5 PF. On offense, yes. That's it though, and you can choose well over 5 guys who would be an immediate upgrade:
Love/Aldrige/Bosh/Griffin/Dirk/Anthony Davis/Duncan then guys like Zbo, Ibaka, DWest
Bogut isn't quite a top 5 center, even when healthy. Pre-injuries years ago? Sure. But not today.
Noah/Gasol/Dwight/Cousins/Horford are better. Anyway OP hits the nail on the head, Klay >> Harden overall,.

I think Warriors will actually be a Top 4 team this year, their starting 5 is amazing "on paper" and the bench is legit too with Barnes, Green . They will give Clippers/OKC a real fight and maybe even beat them in a playoff series.
As long as those young guys keep improving and Kerr uses their talents accordingly, they will be a force for next 5+ years.

 I sure as hell hope so man.
I think Clips woulda been done if Bogut was healthy. Putting Avi and Jermaine on BG/Deandre was not getting it done. I think DJ had a 25/18 game or something around that, it was gross.
Draymond is gonna be our guy that ties everything together and is becoming a defensive force. Can't believe I'm saying it but I'm higher on him than Barnes now.
Next year's top 5 could very well be OKC/SA/Clips/Blazers/Warriors

Would much rather have Klay on the Mavs than Harden.
And that's my simple way of judging players.

The biggest thing Harden has going for him is that his style of play makes him a more natural franchise 1st option..the guy is built to take on responsibility and play the big role.
The only problem is, he sucks fat dick at it.
Klay's already arguably the best 2-way SG in the game..he's a top 3 shooter with Curry and Korver, and he's a terrific defender. He's gonna be a 24/5/4 player in a couple years, and again, with great defense. I'll take that over a ball-dominant, free throw dependent, defensively nonexistent, pseudo-clutch loser that is James Harden.

I agree. People will say "Harden is better as the #1 guy". Sure, but you're not winning diddly poo if Haren is your best player, so give me Klay, who is a much better defender, elite shooter, and doesn't need to hog the ball to be effective.

Somehow I don't think we're going to see a healthy Bogut for a full season ever again. The best the Warriors can hope for is that he's actually healthy for the playoffs.
Then again, you could argue a similar case for Horford

klay vs harden is like miller vs AI. harden/AI beats them in stats but results(wins) speaks otherwise.

Both are better than the most overrated shooting guard in NBA history Kevin Martin. Trading Carl Landry for kevin Martin was one of the dumbest moves the Rockets ever made because the Rockets were a 500 play-off team before they made the Kevin Martin trade. After the Martin trade the Rockets started losing game after game thanks to Martin's shitty perimeter defense.
