Just got done watching me get dunked on by Shane Battier 18 years ago. I had erased moment from my brain but now it's back. It was bad I covered my face which I would have argued I didn't do.
Anyone else have a moment of being overmatched by a high school or college player who is famous now or might be famous soon?

Shane Battier can dunk?
In high school at DCD he shit on everyone. Remember he's 6'8" and athletic enough to guard the best players in the world.

He said his first dunk was in 7th grade at 6'4''. One of the kids asked if she could dunk (?!) Even in 2011, in track pants and cross trainers, he could dunk off one step with no warmup. Also, legend has it he had a game where he dropped 16 and 25 against Ypsilanti... with 6 charges drawn.
Can I ask what school you played for?

Rashard Lewis dunked on me in high school. I had rotated over and he went up and out nuts in my face. 6'10 vs 6'2. I didn't even jump lol.

I went to high school with Chamberlain Oguchi. He later went on to play for Oregon Ducks witj Aaron Brooks. Don't think he ever dunked on me but he would rain down three's like a prime Chris Mullinm

Upload it to youtube now. :oldlol:
Never played against anyone noteworthy, but I want to say I've blocked more dunks than I've been dunked on. Not that either happened very often, probably like 4-5 times in my life lol.

I got dunked on many many times by Kornel David, who was my teammate in Hungary before his (rather short) NBA career. I'm not sure you'd call him famous... but he was the most famous guy I was dunked on by, anyway.

Always interesting to me how talent & ability always seems to be so relative in athletics. In the case of David, I remember him for getting posterized by Tracy McGrady (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=q6xUn3KuJ6E), and for shooting a 29 footer for the tie (or win) with 8 seconds still left in the game.
Yet, to even get to the level he did, one knows Kornel probably had to be killing folks everywhere else before he got to the league.

I went to North Shore for 3 years and went to Jersey Village 1 year. I got dunked on when I went to JV. It was my 10th grade year so this was back in 98 I think. It was his last year at Elsik before going pro.

Ahhhh I forgot about getting dunked on by Joe Stevens. He graduated from North Shore and played on the Rockets for a little while and the Vancouver Grizzlies. He was already out the league when he dunked on me. Nothing super nasty. It was mindblowing how strong he was though. Oh and I fell down. I rode him all the way to the basket.

I was a better shooter, LOL. (Better than the Hungarian guy, not McGrady.)

Didn't Gerald Green go to North Shore also? Maybe after you left. I went to Bush High. Was built after Lewis already went pro.

Oh man I can't remember. I don't think it was from North Shore though. It would have been after me and hell I haven't been back since I graduated in 2000 lol.
He went to Dobie and then Gulf Shores Academy

Zach Randolph, Tony Farmer and Raja Bell have all dunked on me.
I got Zach back tho.. actually, he was getting me back..
Channing Frye got me good in high school in a summer league tournament. Why I thought I should try to get in his way is beyond me. I was 6ft and had a pretty good vert at the time for my size, but I wasn't in his league for sure. Good times.
