Dr. J Julius Erving plays an outdoor basketball game with other pro friends in Philadelphia's Fairmount Park at 52nd and Parkside Streets in 1999. This is a new longer version with improved video quality and extra scenes from the event.

Very cool video. For some reason I really liked Dr J's first assist, and that alley oop shot.

Seeing the playground, makes me wonder if kids from today consider the average regular person to be less athletic than people from today.

That was enjoyable. For those who haven't watched, the clip includes Julius Erving, Maurice Cheeks, World B. Free, Gerald Henderson Sr., and Lionel Simmons. I was not familiar with the big man (Mike Richmond). He played at UTEP in the 80's and overseas. He was listed at 6'9'' 220 in college. Appears to be a bit heavier in that clip, but still dunking.

Julius still elevating with complete ease at that point. He would have been near 50 years old in '99.
