I don't know, plus I think our confidence first became shot when Arroyo and the Puerto Rican team bust our ass. I was severely disappointed at that game and even more disappointed when Arroyo didn't do shit in the NBA.

Great article and something I've always maintained. If Kobe was on that 2006 team we would've won as well. At the time he was the best player in the game, and his on the floor example, sacrifice, selflessness and willingness to do the dirty work for the red, white, and blue along with to a lesser extent Jason Kidd helped change or redefine USA basketball culture.
