we cannot continue these discussions any longer, Kyrie is better, and there is absolutely no doubt about it.
We cannot go into the season with this topic still on the burner.
sorry KLove fans, its been decided.

So Love puts up 26/13/4/1/1 on 59% TS and wins 40 games in a historically tough conference...with a PG that struggles to shoot 40% and score in double digits, and with his starting front court partner missing almost 30 games...
..and it's not even arguable that he's better than Irving?

Well, showcase the thorough facts of both players and we can all decide on that together.

both are not superstars :pimp:
superstars can led a team to success, but they can't even lead a their own team to the playoffs

This.. statistically Love was top 3 last year, while he's not exactly that he's easily top 10 in the league, very good argument for top 5 and IMO the best big man in the game for what he brings offensively

The ****ing 8th seed was a near 50 win team and took the team that raped the back-to-back defending champs in 5 games to a 7 game series.
The 7th seed Grizzlies took OKC to 7 with Zbo getting suspended for a game.
What league were you watching if you think the West this past season wasn't tough as hell?

It was a brutally tough conference. Easily tougher than what Irving had to face.

It was a conference rife with mediocrity, the Spurs were the only championship caliber team, the rest were just good...
OKC was OK, but not as good as when they had Harden.
LAC were OK, but not ready to compete for a championship.
and it basically goes down after that.
The West was much better in the 90s when Seattle, Utah, Houston, Phoenix were real title threats and teams like Denver were winning as the 8 seed.
This was an historically tank season as well nothing historically great about this conference, just a lot of shit at the bottom.

Literally every single playoff team in the West would've made the conference finals in the East.

That doesn't mean shit.
Boston Red Sox cannot say they are good because the Toronto Blue Jays are garbage.
There was ONE championship caliber team in the West...ONE.
It was one of the worst years in NBA history from a team talent perspective. We knew in October only 2 teams could win (once everyone came correct on Indiana) and no one stepped up during the year.
Do you remember one memorable moment from either conference final?

The level of ineptitude some of you are shamelessly displaying in this thread is precisely why I hardly come around here anymore.
If you can't distinguish the level of competition between the Eastern and Western Conference last season, then maybe you should step away from the keyboard and work on your qualitative analysis skills.

1-10 in the West would easily make the ECF.
1-9 arguably would make the Finals if they were in the East.
East sucked, period.

They both couldn't lead their team to playoffs. Not really saying much.
IMO Kyrie is a better player, but I can see why people think Love because of his insane numbers.

both of them are playoff virgins. so who the f- cares which of them is better? Lebron will be their leader and they will follow Lebron's lead if they want to taste the playoffs and stop being playoff virgins.
