As a Bulls fan, I admit he didn't play well. Probably Lillard should have been picked over him, but Rose was actually playing better in the scrimmages, plus the loyalty was a factor (he played for the team before).

I'm happy that he got to play AND did not get injured. His explosiveness is back, but the feel for the game is missing. The more he plays the better he'll get. His passing, albeit he turned the ball over a lot, was also another positive sign. He found the open shooters, especially Klay got a bunch of open looks thanks to Rose. The Bulls now have several good shooters that will benefit from Rose's court vision and ability to drive & kick.

although rose did show more promise in the tryouts over wall and lillard, i suspect he had the edge due to him being a large selling point in the international sports world. It really didnt make sense for him to be thrown in a cluster of competition like this.

Even a prime D. Rose isn't a great fit for FIBA basketball. There are probably a dozen U.S. guards I would have taken over Rose for the FIBA World Cup.
