Japan argues that they are whaling for scientific purposes under the law when they clearly haven't been.
Is there a way to allow controlled whaling for commercial purposes? Or is the whale population unsustainable from whaling.
Discuss.

my thing is whales are cool with us. they don't attack humans, they even let us swim by them and shit. they're not like sharks. they're smart too. thats my beef with killing them at all, even if their populations could handle it. Japan doesn't need their whale sushi that bad, fukk them bitches.

That's the thing, the whaling Japan does is very sustainable. They mostly hunt Minke whales and their yearly catch is about 0,1% of the total number of the species.
The argument against their practice are mostly along the lines of "whales are more special than other animals" and "there is no humane way to hunt whale".

There's no need to whale. They are not stable populations and have some of the largest home ranges on Earth so I don't see how they can claim any jurisdiction in international waters.
Sharks and the Chinese are even worse; gonna go extinct over soup and dumb-ass eastern "medicine".

Fvck whales. Who really gives a fvck? They're big, dumb, stupid, fish.
They aren't mammals. You live in the water, you're a fish.
