The XIs looked much better in my opinion, but they were one of the worst LeBrons for me to ball in. Too bad, I'd probably end with 5+ pairs.

Looks like they went full performance mode with little regard for aesthetics.

The separate zoom pods look like a nice idea, should provide much more court feel with that flexibility, compared to that super mushy full length zoom + lunarlon setup from the 11's

The mesh material is nice too. Wonder if it's the same material as the XX9's?

For LeBron too apparently. He didn't even wear his 11th sig shoe. He wore the take down Soldier 7 all season because of the uncomfortability of the toe box on the 11s, and the heavy nature of the foamposite. Soldiers feature more Zoom, which IMO is a more responsive, light weight cushioning system better fit for perimeter players as opposed to Max Air. These 12's feature more zoom, which haven't been featured prominently in a LeBron shoe since the 6's, and 2's.

MJ's and Shaq's shoes, for example, all had variations to them, individual styles. I could look at a picture of MJ wearing a pair of Jordans and easily tell what season that was, and could probably tell which game it was and whether the Bulls won or lost the game.

True, I also remember him wearing the X Eiltes a lot. The toe box on XIs was problematic for me as well, it was way to stiff for me since I prefer snug fit in my basketball shoes. I still think they look terrific though.

Don't care man, never owned a pair of Kobe's, never will. But Kobe isn't Nike's poster boy either, his shoes aren't marketed or designed the same, Kobe's kicks are strictly for ball, whereas they "try" to make Lebron's wearable on and off the court, I know guys with Lebron's that don't even play ball. But they still fugly.
