Hypothesis:
The addition of Deng, McRoberts and Granger not only offsets but brings a better team balance and depth that one man cannot replicate.

Conclusion:
To be determined.

No problem bro.

I think this makes the Heat better. They aren't relying on one man now.

Hopefully Granger and Wade can play like their old selves.

Agreed. Heat were all time stacked last season, and only got better this offseason. It is Championship or bust for Wade/Bosh and company.

Depends on Wade, but they can reach the finals. The talent is there.

Deng and Granger are probably washed up. Roberts is a solid piece, but they still need a center for defense as Chris Bosh isnt up to the task and Anderson is limited in minutes.

I'm more worried about shooting than any frontcourt issues. I'm pro-Blatche. I'd see how Wade plays before wanting to trade for Bledsoe.

Didn't you guys get Blatche? If so the Heat LITERALLY have no weaknesses.

Lol Granger is ass and Deng has had a massive drop off. I don't even know how good Mcroberts is but I'm assuming he's not that good.

In basketball, the sum of parts does not equate to overall better outcome.

One spot of the best player in the game will always trump 3 good players covering 3 spots on a roster.

Mario Chalmers / Norris Cole / Shabazz Napier
Dwyane Wade / Shannon Brown / Reggie Williams
Luol Deng / Danny Granger / James Ennis
Chris Bosh / Josh McRoberts / Udonis Haslem
Andray Blatche / Chris Andersen

is a very solid roster in my opinion and right on par with the Bulls for second best team in the East.

the bench is a little weak but if Wade and Deng can play 38-40 a game in the playoffs they should be fine.

i do like that team, really depends on the new pick ups. Deng was a shade of his old self and Granger has been chronically hurt and getting worse. But have to give it to the heat, they really snagged up some quality pieces. I think theyll be top 4 in the east.

Obviously LeBron is irreplaceable but they have a real solid looking team. Hypothetically, let's say they go to the finals and win. Are they a legit dynasty, or does LeBron's absence make them start over in that regard?

I expect career seasons from McRoberts/Deng, and a very solid 6th man season from Granger.
How far they go will depend on Wade.

I really hope you're right about McRoberts/Deng/Granger and I agree it ultimately depends on Wade. If he can have a resurgant season the Heat will be a force to contend with.

As I said in another thread, I think the signing of Granger may be huge especially for their bench. I honestly do not believe he has fallen off as much as it appears since his injury. I feel that he simply lost his starting job in Indiana to a younger, slightly better player at the same position while he was injured. At that point he became expendable due to the presence of Paul George. If he is healthy he could be a 12-15 ppg 6th MOY candidate who doesn't give you that of much drop off when Deng goes to the bench.

The team improved but the Cavs are all of a sudden the most stacked team of all time.

Heat are now the second best team in the conference. With what we've seen from Kyrie and the fact that Kevin Love is a bonafide superstar, it's safe to assume this team is "championship or bust"

Heck, Kyrie may as well be the best player on the Cavs after what I've seen from this kid in FIBA. I haven't seen anything like that since 2010/2012 Kevin Durant, and though I don't put him in that class of player quite yet, he's definitely headed there, very very soon.

wade's knees are done. if he wasn't washed up this team would've been a threat but as it is now it is conference finals at best
