First trick. King of hearts is the most memorable in the deck. Probably had the king of hearts isolated with his finger tip to pause on it for a tick longer to make it stand out.

Second trick on Howie. Saves the place of it before it gets pushed in and slips it up to the top while you look at the top card.

Others idk but probably just some really good sleigh of hand type stuff.

i don't understand how we ALL went with the King of hearts tho. i know there were like 3~ other cards that showed any of us could've gone with but it seemed like everyone went with that card. Yeah i get its a high memorable card but does everyone always favor it that way? :wtf: i mean u'd think it'd be a lot more variety in peoples choices even if King of hearts is the most popular.

the last one was pretty ridiculous tho. where the card was in that little tin thing and i really doubt he could put it there beforehand with the judges in on it.

It's not a coincidence that everyone chose the king of hearts. He displayed it more prominently than the others, it's the most memorable card in the deck, it's the only face card visible, it's the last card you see, etc.

since i knew that principle ahead of time i picked out an earlier card (5 of black suits) and forced the trick to break.

anyway, forcing a card to the top of the deck (in many variations) is one of the oldest card tricks in existence. but the box stunt (assuming no participation from howard) is the one that takes the greatest skill IMO. he only had an instant to very smoothly insert the card in there right in front of their eyes.

...

cyril does a cool trick where he guesses which card an audience member picked, is WRONG in his choice, but then takes that same card and shakes it back and forth until it becomes the correct card. no card-flipping or sleight of hand. you can actually see the patterns shifting around as he shakes it.

i can only find a crappy youtube video of it right, but if i find it later i'll share it...

thats why i think its real magic

i bet u could rewind that a million times, do it in slo mo, and still not be able to figure out at what point he did it.

that dude btw won the whole AGT i think. i swear they searched forever and must've went thru thousands of contestants, he must've been really impressive to beat out all of those other acts.

if someone could actually do magic why the fvck would they waste their time and talents using their magic powers to do card tricks in front of an audience? :oldlol:

The king of hearts was the last card shown and the freshest in everyone's minds.

no offense, but every single contestant from P&T's "fool us, season one" was more impressive than that guy.

and trust me, when you slow speed these things and you know what to look for, you can almost always spot the switch.

For the box trick, there's a suspicious camera cut when he's handling the box. They were probably in on that one.
