Rejoice! The Deadpool Movie is Coming in 2016
You did it! Well, at least, Ryan Reynolds thinks you did it. Because the fan campaign, in whatever form it took, is what he believes moved this forward. Whatever it was, Fox has given Deadpool a February 12, 2016 release date. Who screams "Valentine's Day" more than Deadpool?
Just a few months ago, CGI Deadpoll test footage from Tim Miller's Blur Studios made its way onto the Internet. And if, as we guessed at the time, the release was designed to test the waters for Deadpool, it was a success. Miller is still attached to direct, which the test footage made me excited about. And while Ryan Reynolds isn't officially on board yet, we can't imagine that all his championing will end with him not signing a contract.
Recently, Reynolds hinted that the fan response had prodded things along telling the Niagara Falls Review:
The movie has been in a state of limbo for a while. There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, 'Oh, so we weren't crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.' It's interesting to see the power of the Internet. It's awe-inspiring, actually. And it's neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way.
Fox's announcement of Deadpool's February 12, 2016 release date coincided with them moving Assassin's Creed back to 2016 from its original 2015 release and Fantastic Four moving from June 19, 2015, to the August 7, 2015.

Im haivng a hard time getting my hopes up. Deadpool is a character who's had runs ive loved and runs ive hated. All depends on who writes him and if they can find the balance of humour bad assness and depth. I have doubts that a big budget film can get it right but i really hope they do

Early reviews have been positive, mainly praising the humour.
The only rating I've seen so far given by a reviewer is an A.

eh it was close enough, I dont think they would pull it off as well, and lose the general audience if they changed his humor.
Like I said before, movie was perfect except they should have added his dual personality voices in his head
He was too sane and too frat boyish imo
I still liked it but was just a different deadpool to my favourite runs. Deadpools been different depending on who wrote him though as humours harder to characterise and write consistently. He's more out there and unpredictable in the comics. Reynolds too delivers the lines like he does in every comedy he's ever been in too which makes it a little predictable. Still though its probably my second favourite marvel film so like i said i really enjoyed it

Aside from the opening credits, I didn't think it was that funny... all the best lines were in the trailers.
It was a solid movie, but wasn't as good or funny as Guardians of the Galaxy. It's more Antman speed.
Best part was catching Morena Baccarin sex scenes.

very overrated. it was decent, very watchable, very funny at times, but as a whole not remotely on the level of Guardians, Avengers, or Winter Soldier.

yeah i'd say 3/4's of the jokes weren't that funny and at some point it became just normal hearing him be a smart ass about everything which i'm not taking away from the movie for, let alone reynolds, who did an amazing job in that role.
but people who pretend everything is so hysterical like some people in the theater laffing at everything is where its incredibly overrated :coleman:

Deadpool is definitely a unique super hero flick, but if you have already made up your mind that it sucks without seeing it, then yes, you should avoid.

I don't really think Captain America falls into the snarky wise cracker category. And what about other heroes, like Ghostrider and Hulk?
I don't think Batman or Superman fall into that either and they are the 2 most well know super heroes.
Most X-Men - Wolverine, Magnito, Prof. X, etc aren't really super-snarky either.
It's really just Ironman...who is in a ton of flicks so it probably feels like more are doing that, but yeah Ironman does throw out a ton of jokes. But they aren't on the rated-R level of Deadpool, or directed at the camera like Deadpool...feels different

I would agree with this but I don't mind watching it so far. If too many people do it it will get boring though. Iron Man had so much success with it, now everyone is trying to up the ante and be even more of a snarky wisecracker. Starlord does it too in GoG. I feel a lot of it is a way to protest the overwhelming PC culture of today. People respond to the snarky wisecracker with no filter who has fun being an asshole because of how increasingly suppressed it is in our society.

well with Deadpool it is how he is in the comics...I've never read GoG stuff but I have always assumed that is how he is in the comics as well.
