there are several "impossible" shots compilations of him but this one is really well done because you can get several coach and player reaction shots as he does things that defy all conventional logic.

the reaction of wade when he saw kobe make the deep three in boston garden. he just shook his head and said "damn"

and who could forget the rainbow fadeaway shot over lebron that, as the commentators put it "almost touched the ceiling"

can't wait to see more this season :applause:

If we did a montage on terrible shots that Kobe clanked, it would be over an hour long.

Those 2 3's against Blazers were truly disgusting.

But when you take the amount of shots Kobe does, some of them are bound to go in. Not to take anything away from Mr. Bean but I'll be far more impressed if he translate into a smarter player next season.

And if we did a montage on Warren Buffet's or Einstein's mistakes, that would be rather long, too. Your point?

The guy made a ridiculous amount of ridiculous shots. That's his specialty. The best difficult-shot-maker ever. Could he have been more effective? Possibly. Could he have played smarter? Certainly. Could he have been any more entertaining? Not really. (Generating 'hate' is also a kind of entertainment.)

BTW, most of the shots in the video are extremely hard to even take, let alone make.

Who are on that list of the greatest difficult shot makers of all time?

I wager they will have to have a great combination of athleticism and fundamental skills, not to mention excellent hands like Hawkins or Doctor J.

My list, not in order:

Connie Hawkins
Julius Erving
Pete Maravich
George Gervin
Michael Jordan
Clyde Drexler
Kobe Bryant

Do you get extra points for an impossible shot?

Obviously. Not in the game itself, sure. But in the public eye? Definitely and rightfully so. Sports on TV are not only sports. It's entertainment. Two made free throws count for 2 points. A dunk by Vince Carter is also two points. Which one would you like to watch?

The same with impossible shots.

Kobe gets a lot of hate for his FG% but this kind of video wouldn't be possible if he always only took smart shots. This video pretty much sums up the excitement fans have got from Kobes entire career.

LOL why the **** are you so threatened every time someone makes a thread praising Kobe?? Everyone knows Jordan was the greatest, no need to be insecure about it.

I'd rather watch VC make a good move to the rim.and get fouled than see Kobe take an "impossible" (aka bad) shot and clank it

What if both of them make it?

I think you are setting yourself up for failure this way. Why aren't you letting yourself entertained? Your time is limited. If you keep doing / watching things you don't like, noone is going to give your time back.

Not liking a player is absolutely fine... but why watch him? Unless you enjoy him not making the shot of course... in which case you are being entertained by the way.. and the worse the miss the more entertained you are.
