He averaged 21 ppg, and 8 apg for the 1994-95 Sixers. And was voted in the all star game in 1995. I also like his nickname the Human Dynamo.

He was one of the first breakout players I ever knew growing up. As a youngster I'd established that he was kind of a no-name scrub, so when he started dropping 20+ it was kind of a big deal for me. I also remember him hitting a nice buzzer beater that season.

Here's young Dana throwing down a lob: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A0EsB7tac5U

Edit: Here's the buzzer beater I was talking about. Still pretty legit: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hpnAIjxZHsY#t=1m55s

He such an underrated point guard. He can still ball. He uploaded some video off him playing pickup games.

I never saw him play for the Sixers. I started watching the NBA during the 1995 NBA Finals.

I'll never forget Dana for being the first "star" player I got when I first collected trading cards. Got the Dana Barros Hardwood Leaders inside my first pack.

My best friends mother grew up knowing Dana. They grew up in the same projects.

He really fulfilled a dream going from BC to Philly then to the C's. He's one of the first guys I remembered when I first started watching basketball.
