Jeans: Tough to recall, maybe around $50

Sunglasses: $12 from Target

A meal: No clue. If referencing only the meal's cost for myself (as opposed to paying for a date or others) I'd be surprised if I ever eclipsed $30.

Basketball Shoes: $150 on numerous pairs over the years

Recreational/sport equipment item: $13 tube for my bike wheel? Or actually, likely a new outdoor basketball, which would have come in over $20.

Bike: Still using the mountain bike my parents gave me when I was in high school.

Present for significant other: Cannot recall anything specific off-hand, but I do not believe I've eclipsed $50.

Event Ticket: $50-$60 on a Nine Inch Nails show, I believe. Tough to recall prices.

A bottle of liquor: N/A

Underwear: I believe I recall receiving a $20 Abercrombie & Fitch gift card for Christmas one year. I think the only thing in the store I could afford was a single pair of boxers and even then, I think it went a touch beyond the card amount.

I'm a tightwad. I think spending a lot on sunglasses and jeans is dumb. Quality is the same.

It really isn't. although I don't regularly invest in high end items i will occasionally splurge on one for my wardrobe.
Designer jeans just have a better feel to it. I've had 3 different pairs of high end jeans. One Tavernitti, Diesel, and tru religion, and there is a distinct comfort and cut to it that is just much better and noticeable. same with my Gucci Aviators. Just a better fit on the face and the lens quality is through the roof.
I'm a big advocate of you get what you pay for. I'm as frugal as the next guy, but it's nice to have a high quality item every once in a while.

And liquor, no way I chince on liquor and appreciate a fine beer or scotch.

literally one company makes ever major brand of sunglasses. Parts and processes are the same.

I can believe that. My industry does the exact same thing. But whoever the manufacturer is crafts good quality that you can distinguish. I think where the label get's it right is the guarantee and frame design. I'm sure the designer has input on how they want the frame to look as do the supplement brands have input on the final product.

Denim is denim. Style and fit are different than quality.

I strongly disagree. Although there are cheaper Levi's that are rugged and last long, the designer brands are meticulous in contour and other aspects. like I said it's a completely noticeable feel.

Same. I usually hit up the steak and lobster combination. That time I went, they had a steak/lobster/pork chop combo for the same price as the plate without the pork chop. Ate like a ****in king that night.

And the lobster mac and cheese is a necessity.

Well looks like people have included drinks, so I think the numbers are off. But, no I don't think I've spent more than $35 on a singular plate. I've eaten at places with high price tags but usually at corporate events.

What's the most you've spent on (add brand/product):

Jeans- Maybe a hundred bucks. I usually shop at Lucky, and I think about 80 is what they run.

Sunglasses- About 250 I wanna say. I've had the same pair of black wire frame Burburry glasses for probably 15 years. And I have a pair of brown Ray Ban's that were probably 250 or so. That's plenty for me.

A meal- Just for me, I spend about 150 every year at the steakhouse we go to during the Big East. I've picked up a tab or two for groups around 500. My basketball team's banquet last year I can recall.

Basketball Shoes- A little over 200.

Recreational/sport equipment item- I've spent 100 bucks on a basketball. But I'm not sure what else would fit the definition.

Bike- I have a mountain bike that was like 600 bucks.

Present for significant other- I'm pretty good gift getter, but I limit it to a few people. I bought my buddy a 500 dollar grill for a house warming gift. Now I mostly buy for his kids. I got them a flat screen a few Christmas' ago. I just got them both Samsung Tablets for their birthdays last month. Like 350 each once I was done buying cases, memory, etc.

Event Ticket- I do some ticket brokering nowadays so this can be a little misleading. I have a guy who can buy in bulk, so I'll front a bunch of money then take the best few seats, and get my money back, and then let him sell off the rest for whatever profit he can spin. But I've dropped 500 on a ticket before. Rediculously good seats for Big East. Yankee playoff games. I sat on the floor for Roger Waters doing the Wall at MSG. That was probably closer to 750 if I remember.

A bottle of liquor- Maybe 50 bucks on a premium bottle of wine. Probably 125 on a bottle of Blue Label. I like good vodka, but nothing crazy. And I'm not buying any bottle service stuff that gets mentioned in rap songs.

Underwear- I don't even know. Ten bucks maybe for good running under gear type stuff.

Present for significant other- $14k ring

Big bank T rite there ,Which big east tourney was that for? Was that price for an all session pass or one game? I've always wanted to go to the big east tourney and one of my biggest regrets of not going, especially when all the top schools were at their best ,uconn's,ville's,nova's,cuse's of the world..now it wouldn't be the same cuz of the realignment and imo wouldn't have that same buzz

That's absolutely hilarious

Lol I hated the guy until after that day but we've been close since. Now watching him do the same things he used to do to me to my wife's little sister's boyfriends is pretty funny

I go to the Big East every year. I've missed two since 1990. Typically the Friday night session is the most expensive. Thursday is two separate sessions. The night can be pricey. Last year I was 6th seat from floor. But it was much cheaper last year. I honestly wasn't even gonna go until I got word about the ridiculous tickets.

Definitely not the same buzz. But there was a vibe from the crowd because so many had never been to the city. Some of those UConn Cuse Pitt, GTown years were awesome though.
