He was retroactively stripped of the TD after a rebound was found to have been tapped by Ben Wallace. Something similar happened with one of Hakeems quad doubles.

There have only been 6 50-point triple doubles:

Wilt Chamberlain (PHI vs LAL) 03/18/1968 53p 32r 14a
Elgin Baylor (LAL vs STL) 12/13/1961 52p 25r 10a
Wilt Chamberlain (SFW vs DET) 02/13/1963 51p 29r 11a
Richie Guerin (NYK vs PHI) 02/25/1962 50p 11r 13a
Elgin Baylor (LAL vs BOS) 02/13/1963 50p 15r 11a
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (MIL vs POR) 01/19/1975 50p 15r 11a

Still impressive as hell, obviously.

it was a triple double for like one night before it was changed to 9 rebounds.

I think Kobe had a monster game right before that one.

Best almost triple double in NBA history imo

Well, arguable, but Rick Barry had a 64/10/9/5 game and Wilt had a 58/13/9 one.

It was a triple-double for 3 days actually, the analysts were allover the performance 24-7, "bla bla so amazing, bla bla 1st ever since 1975, bla bla".... then Stern decides to do something which has never happened in NBA history, randomly taking away 1 rebound away from a guy after some day/days....

What i dont understand is, why? There has been so many questionable rebounds & assists up until then, why now all of the sudden? and why stop inspecting rebounds/assists AFTER this little occasion again?

I mean, it never happened before, not even Ricky Davis got this rebound removed, im not sure... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WNrehtOZIlY .... and he got fined & everything...

no pun intended
