Paul because of longevity.
Lennon was such a beta male it's hard to appreciate his life.
Cool, you can write and compose music.... but you're still an insufferable beta male white knight f*ggot

But Imagine is my favorite song. I agree that Paul was the superior beatles. His band wings produced some hits in the 1970's.

Paul was the brains and driving force behind the Beatles. He was their best musician, most creative and best singer (highly underrated singer btw).
But the best songwriter is Lennon.
Paul was too sappy and corny at times.
Not sure how somebody can be so bold and adventurous musically, but be so lame and safe lyrically.

England has produced some great bands. The Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, The Who and Black Sabbath

As much as I hate to say this, they've not only produced some great bands, they've produced THE best bands.
There's many more that can be added to that number:
Radiohead, Arctic Monkeys, Clash, Bowie etc.etc.etc.

It's both Paul and John.
George was awesome, and Ringo is a dipwad.

In fairness to Ringo he married a former Bond Girl. Prime Barbara Bach was one of the hottest woman on earth.

George Harrison wrote some of my favorite beatles tunes
Here Comes the Sun
While My Guitar Gently Weeps
Something
Played the bass on "I Want You (she's so heavy)"

Ringo had THE best comeback of all time when somebody ridiculed his drumming abilities.
"Yeah, well play for the Beatles" (paraphrasing).

I know he normally played bass for the group, but I remember reading that George played the bass on that track

John Lennon, as a Beatle and as a solo artist. Paul has longevity, but his post-70's work is mostly shite.
Love them both though. They combined to write 20 US #1 hits, a record made more impressive by the fact that accomplished it in 7 years.

John Lennon = Legend.
Paul Mccartney was/is so cheesy and lame and had nothing to say of any depth or substance in 99% of his tunes. Great bass player, but was just pop nonsense most of the time. You can't compare him to the soulful genius that was Lennon. Mccartney's stuff was usually trite crap without any bite, depth, soul. And his solo career played that out.
Harrison great too, and All Things Must Pass is one of the great albums ever, as is Lennon's Plastic Ono Band record.

Not a fan of any of them solo (Plastic Ono Band is alright), but Lennon was a better writer and singer than Paul.
Kinks are the GOAT English band though.

I'm with all the George guys. He wrote my handfull of favorite songs from them.
John became such a pretentious boob. And honestly Paul went so far out of his way to not be John, he became even more of a jackass in my eyes. I can't see Paul and not think of Dana Carvey's rediculous impersonation of him.
And Ringo seems like the most fun to hang out with, plus he's prominently involved in Rocky Raccoon.

Beatles are one of my favorite band but does anyone think they are anything special in their singing ability? They're good singers but there's nothing unique or technically great about it. I think the Backstreet Boys are better singers.

I agree completely. I just wish George could've maintained his production at his peak in Abbey Road.

Radiohead are the best artists of our generation.
They're rumored to be working on a new album, and some new music is on their app 'Polyfauna'. It sounds ambient and ethereal.
