I posted the PG position FIRST, because it is the only position where 2014 has any edge at all, and as you can see from the lists, it's not much of an edge either..

2014 gets DESTROYED at all the other positions, especially SG, PF and Center...

I will post those at some point and it will be so obvious that 1997 has a massive edge, i'm predicting that you won't even bother post itt... if you do, you'll post something super-lame because 2014 gets destroyed so you will only be able to say some bs..

This really just shows how little you know about actual basketball. Stockton was a 12 ppg, 8.5 apg player at that time. Still, I'd actually take him over a lot of pgs...but it just shows that you bolded players based on reputation as opposed to actual ability to help a team win games. Sam Cassell was so useless that he played on 4 different teams that year and averaged about 14 ppg and 5 apg. Mark Price as a 10 ppg, 5 apg on 43% player. Come on bro....if you are going to make these sort of posts be legitimate about it. Just embarrassing yourself.

Even the ones that were "good" like Starbury (17 & 9) were in fact not that good. He shot 41% fg, 31% tres, 73% ft. Basically just a chuckster that had star appeal but was a cancer.

Goran Dragic by himself was better than a reasonable amount of that bolded list (20 and 6 on 50%+)

Yeah PER is the anti point guard stat. The only guys outside of Chris Paul to get over 25 PER are AI, Tiny and Terrell Brandon. After that you begin seeing names like Westbrook, Arenas and Curry. Finally at 23.9 Stockton appears and Payton shortly thereafter. It's a stat that just doesn't work for pure point guards the most. Shooting PG's it kind of works.
