1967:

Guy Rodgers
?
?
Bill Bridges
Wilt Chamberlain (probably Thurmond as a backup or playing PF too)

(Jerry Sloan had one of his best years but probably not his very best one;
I was gonna have Don Ohl at SG but he only played 58 games and had better year(s);
Bailey Howell had a pretty good year but had better one(s), Chet Walker too
Hal Greer definitely had better years...)

1977 (gotta fit Walton at PF, Bobby then more at SF):

Jo Jo White (arguable; or Don Buse)
Pete Maravich (got injured the following season but this was his best year)
Bobby Jones
Bill Walton (best year due to injuries)
Kareem Abdul-Jabbar

(most will say that Julius Erving had his best years in the ABA, and 1977 was right after it but he sure didn't have his best NBA year regarding impact, stats, play... even though his coach's style and teammates "decreased" his play from an individual stand-point)

1986:

Maurice Cheeks (arguable)
Alvin Robertson
Dominique Wilkins
Larry Bird
Manute Bol

1987:

Magic Johnson
Sleepy Floyd (more of a PG though)
Michael Cooper (best choice here, I believe)
Kevin McHale (at least before he broke his foot in the ps)
Joe Barry Carroll

1991 (was having a hard time "finding" a PF, so I put Hawkins at SG, MJ at SF and younger Rodman as a full-time PF):

Terry Porter
Hersey Hawkins
Michael Jordan
Dennis Rodman (arguable)
Brad Daugherty (pretty arguable)

2000:

Gary Payton (arguable)
Allan Houston (arguable; or Eddie Jones)
Michael Finley
Dale Davis
Shaquille O'Neal

2003:

Steve Francis (arguable; or Stephon Marbury)
Tracy McGrady
Jamal Mashburn
Tim Duncan
Zidrunas Ilgauskas

1977 looking scary (if they clicked) Got some others there that would've been terrific teams, like 1986 or 2000, even 1987 and 1991, peak Duncan and T-Mac would've been great...

What you think? Pick the best one and add more...

Waltok and Kareem at their peaks/prime in a twin tower system?

That would be more dominant than Duncan and Mcgrady, which is the only other two superstar pairing in the list, unless i missed something.

Yeah, 77 wins. I don't know if comfortably, but it's not that close.

Edit: just saw Maravich and a younger Bobby Jones? Dude, that is murder.

I think that, after reading everything, it's pretty easy to understand... guess not

Basically making teams using certain players' peak-season (when he was at his best overall, considering everything).

So yea, that 1967 squad ain't gonna roll, what you thought? I was forgetting/neglecting dudes like Big O or West?

Yea, Kareem/Walton would've been crazy... Plus Maravich with both guns blazing (had to "buy into" the system though) and Bobby Jones in his "DPOY" year, good all-around and very efficient, and a very good PG in Jo Jo White.
Offense would've been there, at least from an individual stand-point and imagine having to drive against Walton/Bobby/Kareem

You got Bird and Wilkins also, Nique was a legit superstar.
Magic and McHale even, as you can maybe argue Kevin as being a superstar in his peak year.
What about Payton in 2000? Some would probably call him a superstar.

Barry?

1967, his best year? Can be argued yea, but most would probably say 1975, when he was 4th in MVP voting (his best), all-nba 1st, and led a team to the title (FMVP).

BTW, I could care less about "peak"...

I would take my '67 roster over any of your's.

:facepalm

So? Is this an all-time best team thread or something? Did I ask any of those things? I can also "make" a team with Magic/Jordan/Bird/Duncan/Kareem and beat any team you can bring to the table.

You're only "good" at talking about Wilt and even so you only pour out bullshit and fallacies that fit your agends. You're so goddamn ignorant.

Go play with the other kids, child... Don't answer if you're gonna say dumb shit.

So Duncan played in the 80's?

I can field a team that has NEAR-PEAK players, in the SAME season, of Barry, Baylor, Oscar, West, Sam Jones, Greer, Lucas, Reed, Thurmond, Russell, and Chamberlain.

Good for you, make your own thread then

Anyone here still really thinks you're over 20 or even very knowledgeable about the game??? :facepalm :oldlol:
