Do waitresses even appreciate the tips we leave them? Or do you think they despise their customers and think things like, "Is that it?", "WTF cheapskate", "Dude could afford more than that I saw what was in his wallet", "I need to get in pr0n", etc. etc.

If we're talking service in general.

Tips are always appreciated, unless it's like 5 bucks on 500 or something, then you can eat shit.

I had a table of like 5 black dudes and a black girl, and I knew they would tip me shitty because black people are just bad tippers, but I gave them awesome service and we had a great time and lots of good laughs, they still tipped me crap but I still appreciated it.

All these tip threads is just :oldlol:

I appreciate the tips I get unless it's an extreme situation. I also don't mind a bad tip / no tip if the customer is really cool and easy to deal with.

on a $50 bill (not including tax), what minimum tip would be "appreciated"?

Most waitresses Ive encountered would rather me keep the tip and instead slip em the D in my car.

They do if it's the socially acceptable amount or more.

what if waitresses are all different people and have varying opinions about this type of thing?

is that even possible?

The worst waitresses are the ones in los angeles who think that because they are trying to become actresses you somehow owe them a huge tip.

I don't know

but do people who volunteer at the food bank appreciate the fact that their effort isn't going to waste?

10 bucks is 20%

I'd be happy with $7.50

I wouldn't say "appreciate it". I'd say they depend on it for income so to me it's alittle more than appreciation.

Yesterday I had a lady say "Keep the change" after she handed me her cash.

The change was $0.74

I did not appreciate that.

This. Waitresses seem more "entitled" to the tips than appreciative, more often than waiters. Now there are a lot of great waitresses but especially as they tend to get attractive, they think they deserve a nice tip without providing good service since they are hot.
